Anyone else have that one moment from their childhood that will haunt them for the rest of their lives? Just one thing that you wish that you could go back and change, and would do anything to do so.

I, for one, an going to end up being one of those crazy fat uncles who talks about how he could have gone pro if it wasn't for my knee. I played highschool football (CFL rules) and was a team captain and linebacker. The one moment that will haunt me for the rest of my life is during one game, we were down by 2 points, and I had their QB all alone, 20 yards in the backfield. It was the last play of the game, and he was basically holding the ball out to me. I didn't think to take the ball from him and score, I just creamed him. If I took that ball, we would have won, played someone else in the playoffs, gotten to the finals to play a team we could beat, and then won.

It saddens me.

I never really knew what I wanted to do with my life when I was younger. I also never really made any major commitments (ie, joining a team in school before grade 8, taking martial arts, etc.) I was pretty much just a lazy shut-in who hardly ever left the house. Nowadays, if I go for a day without exercising or working, I feel like the day is just a total waste. For the most part, the early years of my life (until I was about 12 or so) were pretty much worthless.

Yeah, so I could have been in much better shape than I am now, but every day, I bring myself closer to redemption...and a 6-pack.

Sometimes I get into the "What if I did X at Y point in my life?" line of thought? (ie. what if I decided I wanted to be an actor, or a singer, or a martial arts instructor?). But I don't think all is lost, as I still have yet to go thorough college, which should be a HUGE changing point in my life.

Nothing particularly defining - at least, nothing that I'd want to repeat in a public forum - happened to me until I was into my teens, as far as I'm aware.

My parents bought me my first computer when I was about 6, an Amiga - I remember playing the Batman movie game on Christmas morning - and I haven't really looked back since. I suppose that's about the biggest thing I've carried over from my childhood. Additionally there was a time I was being 'babysat' at my grandfather's taxi office and, to curb my boredom, my grandfather left me with an A4 notepad and a pen. I went on to write the first piece of creative writing I hadn't done for school, and the response it got from teachers, parents and friends encouraged me to work on my 'talent' there.

The moment that will haunt me for the rest of my life happened while I was at work in the parking lot. I was talking to the other guy there when a drunk driver swung his car around and maliciously attempted to run me down. For months afterwards, even bing near a car with it's engine running scared me.

I would want to appreciate the awesomeness of Metal from a younger age (was 14 when I was into metally stuff) and possibly pick up an instrument. Also not watching Super Mario bros:The Movie and Batman Forever. Nothing major, but there it is.
