Yeah, pretty depressing title though it fits trust me. Anyways the point of this thread is simple: Divulge some of your cherished, or more persistant, memories with your fellow Escapists. They can be happy, funny, reflective, sad etc. Here, we want the entirety of the human experience.

I'll start things of with a memory of driving round looking at Christmas lights when I was a kid with my cousin. My cousin and I have always been close and truth is I consider her more of a sister than anything else but I digress. I was raining this particular night and before long a full scale stormed had brewed. Lightning, thunder the works. Kinda bored in the car looking at lights, my cousin and I just started staring at the lightning coming down both entranced by what we saw.

It kinda sounds lame but I'll always remember that. Just one of those reflective moments, which is kinda rare for a kid. Anyways, thats me. What about you?

I climbed a tree as I was being chased by a cow.
Luckily, it hung over the edge of the field, so I could jump off it and away from the cow.
I did so, and landed on a truck.

I was ecstatic when I realised it was Orcado's that was going to deliver to our house, so I could a, albeit dangerous, but quick ride home.
It was awesome and scary.

Edit: The reason I chose this (Aside from being awesome) is because it does say something about the human nature, as I was in pretty high danger levels, but was loving every second of it.

A small school of nurse sharks tailed my kayak as I paddled frantically for the shore and the rental place, after a Caribbean storm appeared out of nearly nowhere. It was exhilarating.

When I first saw that scene in Blade Runner. That was a great movie.

Actually I thought that monologue in Blade Runner was really horrid. Even romance novels tend to steer clear of analogies that cornball.

Good memory: playing an outdoor festival. Soundchecking at a gig when the person controlling the levels is sitting in a little tower about 100 metres away from you is a surreal experience that makes you forget that you had half an hour's sleep on someone's wooden kitchen floor the night before.

This past Saturday. Playing Video Games with some friends one floor down in my dorm. Heard a loud thud we thought it was someone moving furniture and I made a joke about someone jumping. Found out later someone actually did jump. I felt like a dick.
