You heard me right. Currently, a fan-made remake of Link's Awakening [http://balladofthewindfish.blogspot.com/], entitled Ballad of the Wind Fish, is being made by a man named Jerrel Dulay. The game seems to be taking most of its queues from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, but also features artwork that harken's back to the original gameboy release. While I would have preffered a remake of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, if any remake at all, I have to say that this looks pretty cool. The game is currently in beta, and I think there are some demos of it floating around the internet, but I can't seem to find any. Let's hope Nintendo doesn't raise its mighty suehammer and put this guy out of production for making a game that can only help the Zelda franchise.

A video of gameplay of the demo version can be found here. [http://www.gametrailers.com/player/usermovies/314018.html?playlist=featured]

Note: The Game is, as I have already stated, not finished. Please keep that in mind as you make your comments.

Link is Adorable!
It looks all bright and cheery; like the original.

[sarcasm] This looks like its going to be good... [/sarcasm]
To be fair, it is a fan-game. How good can it be? The really amazing fan-games tend to be 2D.

Might be fun, Links Awakening was my favorite Zelda game behind Link to the Past. Which reminds me, I need to track down my Super Gameboy and Links Awakening, been years since I've played through it. Hopefully they still work.

Well someone is making their own sequel to PHourglass for the Wii, borrows pretty heavy from other Zeldas. But the Wind Waker makes a return.

I have a feeling Nintendo is going to shut it down, much like Square Enix did with the 3d Fan made Chrono Trigger remake.

It doesn't look BAD...it just looks...awkward, and incomplete. I suppose they might fix that as it's made, but I wouldn't play it right now.
