Wait, overlooked Aristotle. Was he either of those?
Nope, died peacefully.

Also, since when is somebody who's only notable thing done in life is fighting in a war that started before her birth and ended after her death eligible for a title as "revolutionary"?

He abolished slavery in all of the U.S.A., how is that "preserving the status quo"?
That was a mostly political move, in order to bring a higher goal to the Union's fight. He was in favor of only having slavery in states that already had it. While his actions where revolutionary (sort of), he was mostly concerned with keeping the country together.

Perhaps he's having a go at a "Civilization" type of game. Thats pretty much what I've considererd since Che on day one.
You mean like a new version of his 1989 game Populous [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Populous]?

Some of the people mentioned have made me think it could be a new Populous, and the divinely inspired Joan of Arc could be hinting at a new God game, along the lines of Populous or Powermonger, but with more of a revolutionary aspect.

Good choice. I love the story line in Age of Empires 2 where you get to play though her life.

Lincoln actually took a stand and abolished slavery, an issue that the previous three or four presidents just pussy-footed around.
Just to make mention of a small point that I've already touched on, Lincoln was wishy-washy about slavery. He simply held the conventional view of his time and place- slavery is wrong, but more important considerations come first. He supported legislation that would have prolonged the institution and actually represented owners in court against their 'property.' He also did not abolish slavery.

EDIT: Just to be clear what I mean, it was other forces and legislation within the United States government beside Lincoln himself that abolished it.

I thought that one was rather lame. Or maybe it's because half of it are dungeon crawler maps where all you do is walk to the nearest wolf, kill it, listen to some idiotic commentary from a random unit and leg it back to the start to go sit in a guard tower one by one until everybody is healed up. Especially that first map, where you alternatively need to protect a villager, a battering ram and a transport ship(for non aoe2 players, they are all made out of cardboard).

Overall, the Barbarossa campaign was significantly better.

Well it is Day 0 and it is Churchill today. But having noticed the Aesthetic differences between the subjects and followers pages I have reached a theory.

The game is a RTS game. You start off as one character and in the usual style of Lionhead games You get to pick who you work for. It could be putting down a revolution or supporting it.

Ah, so then all of this "Revolutionary" stuff is just BS rhetoric... as expected I suppose.

But with Quotes like that I'd put money on Fable 3.
Try fable XIII or MCLXIII...

You don't have a TC in those missions, hence no cobras.

"Oh Yes!"
I chuckled. Anyway it's Fable III, it's been confirmed. So it means nothing to me, as I still have the first one in it's packaging. http://uk.xbox360.ign.com/dor/objects/14328887/fable-iii/videos/gcom09_fable3_trl_debuttrailer_81909.html
