Because Ninjas are AWESOME! (Unless you prefer Pirates, to which I can only reply 'The door is over there').

List your favorite Ninja! (And what a 'Ninja' is..Well, it's largely up for debate. So if you think it fits, then post it and argue for why it does.)

Since I am going to assume that Naruto and the like will get some heavy votes, I am actually going to present my two favorites from vastly different series.

1: Bro'

The "Ironic Rapping Rooftop Ninja" #1 of Homestuck (Well, he were anyway) with a puppet-fetish and blond-sideburns. I'm listing him #1 simply because of the hilarious character description he gets, which really sets him apart from the usual 'Mysterious, honorable assassin'-treatment that most other fictional Ninjas.
..Also, he's so fast that he makes marvels Quicksilver look slow.

2: Junpei.

The I'm-culturally-confused-about-westerners-Ninja of Megatokyo. I find him overall interesting and amusing and merges well with the story.

So, what's yours?

Did somebody say NINJA'S? What about Doctors who are ALSO Ninjas?!

Also don't forget their crazy dads who teach the extremely important lesson that Ninjas can't grab you when you're on fire.

So yeah, Doctor McNinja and Dan McNinja are the best ninjas ever...

Had to google whether they were ninja turtles or hero turtles first, turns out they were ninjas, so valid choice here.

Well, since I haven't actually watched/read/played much in the way of ninja-related entertainment, I think my choice is a little one-sided.

That's the first one that comes to mind, at least.

Like I said, not much exposure to ninjas. They're sneaky buggers, you know.

I'm fairly new to the series, as Revengeance was my first one, but I'll be damned if this guy isn't the epitome of badassery when it comes to cyborg ninjas.

Goemon, Ebisumaru, Yae, and Sasuke (Mystical Ninja)
Also Kotaru Fuma and Hanzo Hattori (in Samurai Warriors, though they are portrayed alot in other stuff, being based on historical figures)
Psylocke (Marvel. Yes, she is a ninja)
Kitana, Jade, Mileena (Mortal Kombat, if you count them as Ninjas, though they later werent really portrayed that way)

Obviously the only real Ninja is the American Ninja.

No silly black PJs here. These movies are fantastic cheese and follow every single martial arts movie trope to the letter. They are amazing.

As long as you don't see what he was like back in Metal Gear Solid 2. :D

That does raise a good question of what we're asking about here, though. Are we just looking for the "stereotypical" ninja, guys who actually identify as ninja and such, or could we include people who exhibit similar tropes to ninja? Hm...

I still stand by my original choice, though.

Grey fox is good too.

Its a hard choice, but ill have to agree with Z and say Raiden, along with Fox, and Shadow from ff6.

The kisho ninja from Shogun 2.
45 lads armed with katana who always wear black, no matter the time of day or season, can climb a wall about ten stories high in less than a minute, can throw HEAP grenades 500 years before HEAP grenades were actually invented, can throw blinding grenades that will scatter a unit of 150 men and can take on 300+ enemies and win with no more than 4 or 5 casualties.
And they can turn invisible anywhere. They could be standing in the middle of an open plain with enemy archers raining arrows on them and they can still vanish.
Very fictional and very, very cool.

I go with the cliche/ sterotypical choice with Kakashi Yamto from Naruto. He look cool, powerful (due to that eye he got) and an awesome guy in general!

Wow, no Ryu Hayabusa yet? Well I guess the topic IS still young, so here's a pic of him:

But here's my original favorite fictitious ninja:

Annnnnnd yeah, I'll be "that guy" and pick the best/cutest kunoichi from any fighting game ever:

Ninja Brian from NinjaSexParty is clearly the best ninja, he'll steal your girlfriend without speaking a word and he will kill you with his mind if you try and stop him.
