Little Big Planet 2... It Only Does Everything?

So I wa a skeptic of the original LBP gam b/c I personally thought it was a stupid kiddy game but some of the stuff I seeing rom the community, especially stuff from the LBP 2 beta has taken my breath away. The amount of level customization in this game is unrivaled (yes Halo fans Forge world has nothing on this) and the way people hjave emulated other games within LBP 2 is amazing. Hell yu can even map every button on the DS3 controller, even the sixaxis function! See for yourself...

Wow, that Flow level looks freaky accurate.

Though, I'd rather see people make more original levels raher than simply copying popular games. But I guess that's the way the cookie crumbles.

Well every dlc from 1 works in 2 so maybe... It might still be dlc but most likely it will become free.

Should I get the first? Can you do nearly as much with the first that you can do with the second? This game looks tons of fun, if the first is close to this I'll definatey consider it.

0_o - damn. I knew it could do a lot, but I didn't know it could do that much. Holy crap. This is going to get a lot of sales for the PS3 but it'll kill the attach rate. Who needs to get other games when you have Little Big Planet 2? If they sell a Little Big Planet 2 bundle, it's quite possible you could sit there for a year or two and never buy anything else.

Same, it was mentioned it could do Shadow Complex, a TPS or FPS isn't that far off. inFamous should be pretty doable, Killzone might be a bit harder, but that's OK, as once you have one FPS, that's enough. And if it can't, UT3 is under $10, and it's also customisable to the point of giving you several racing games, a melee hack & slash game, a snowboarding game, and 6 different FPS games using total conversions. Hell, there's even a C&C mod which gives you a FPS/RTS combo.

So maybe two games that you need, 3 if Steamworks gives you Source SDK games on the PS3.

Don't get the first why? Becuase the second game can play all the levels from the first. So the first game is kind of voided out.

You'd probably still need the first to play the official levels, and since it's one of the better deals bundled with an extra controller it wouldn't hurt. It's also cheap enough. The other one bundled with a controller worth getting is Ratchet & Clank. I wouldn't bother with Killzone 2 or Uncharted.

yeah the offical levels but all online levels work in 1 and 2.

there were alot of them that were copypasta though. however i can aggree some of the more origional ones were very fun to do

I really had fun with LBP and this one looks infinitely better. This is like... games within a game... I really don't need to see this videos because I don't want to get excited for it but... wow... that's extremely impressive.

Well supposedly if you have the first one, its content carries over to 2. So it's worth getting anyway, it's given me lot's of fun.
