Hey guys, i have a question for you all... What's the deal with LBP? I've seen a few trailers and it just looks like you build stuff. why is everyone so excited with it. Is it only for the PS3 or are they going to port it to other systems.

Well basically it is a platform generator. A game where you can design your own levels and either play them or share them with ever one else who has the game and an internet connection. There is a bit of a story mode which is mainly there for you to learn how to play the game and also to get some goodies to make your levels with.
Overall the kind of ridiculous fun you can have playing this game has a unique feeling to it, even though we have seen this kind of thing before.

i don't have a ps3 so thats why i was wondering if a pc port was coming.. it looked like fun i just didn't really get the whole idea of it
It'd probably be clever of them to port it to the PC. Not enough people can buy a PS3 still, and people still haven't been given a lot of reason to buy one. Didn't stop me from buying one though (I really hope I didn't just change the subject matter completely).Stormcloud23 said:

I'll never understand the huge influx of "I don't get it"'s from people about LBP, or any game really. What's there to get? It's something different from the huge pile of brown and gray shooters, but for some reason when something is different people just have to ask "What's so great about it?".
It lets you create your own levels with a bunch of tools, not many games do that, and don't give me the lame excuse of level editors built in to some games like SSBB and Halo 3, those games arn't centered around level creation nor do they have as much options as LBP.
So, I'll agree with eveyone else and say you really have to play the game before you "get it".

It looks like a platformer which is why you get so many peole asking is it worth it? there does not seem to be a point to the gameor any reason I would want to keep playing it after a fer hours. But then maybe I just don't "get it"

Let me see if i can explain LBP to you, its if you stuck a week old sock into a Punani(if u don't know what this is google it) and then lady squeezed really hard and out came bubblegum drops. I have no other way of explaining it lol, But i did build a pretty sweet level on there, just look up my name Russia208.

Anyway I myself agree there isn't too much to "get" about LBP. It seems insanely fun and creative, however it was released on completely the wrong console for that.
