I hate it when people just "show up" at my apartment. Text me, ask if it's a good time, or at LEAST give me 20 minutes. Showing up at my door and telling me to "let you in" will royally annoy me.

This fits in with my above annoyance: I don't like it when people see me without makeup. I don't wear A LOT, but I just feel lazy and rude if I go somewhere without it on. Same with a bra (go figure).

I also get annoyed when ladies/women don't act civilized. I'm by no means a delicate flower - in fact I'm a city rat that isn't afraid to swear and say what I want. BUT I keep my legs crossed, I knock before I go in, and I keep my bodily functions to myself. I don't care if you're my guy friend or my boyfriend: I want you to see me as an, albeit geeky, lady.
really? I dont liek the Idea that its "lazy and rude" to not wear make-up all the time..you cant be THAT ugly

I know that its acceptpted that women must wear make-up generally...but what Im reading from this is (not just you but in general) "you MUST cover up that hideous face of yours!...if you dont you are an evil ***** for subjecting others to the horrors that is your face"..I mean GUYS dont have to wear make-up do they? not even the zit-faced ones

sure Ill wear it if I go outside the house...but to the supermarket or otherwise..screw'em I dont see why people (especially people I know) should have a problem with my less than perfect face

/rant

this is weird but It actually bothers me when peopel like/suport evil charachters in fiction, I can understand empathising with a charachter or finding them interesting.....but fuck..WHY do you like this chrachter?? why do you think them being evil is cool? or a good thing? THEY ARE BAD and they deserve punishment GAAAHHH...even though I know its stupid and its not even real

liek shepard...I hate the fact that shepard can be renegade YOURE DOING IT WRONG

hmmm....when people are really vauge about their argument...

or generally using "race" or foregners as an issue..I had a sort of argument with my sister/dad and it was infuriating

"what do you MEAN asian people? you cant group every single asion person in Australia under one type of person"

"well they should be deported if they break the law"

..the conversation goes on....

"wait are you saying that caucasians are less likely to commit crimes"

"just look at the underground..in melbourne its the italians...asians..its in their culture..underground crime"

..the conversation goes on....

"and the way they practice religion"

"what?? ARE YOU TALKING ABOTU MUSLIMS NOW?? WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT????"

as you can tell they were so frigging vauge I cant even remember a coherant argument

When people say "First World Problems", it just makes you sound lazy and smug.

I would annoy the hell out of you then. I have a tattoo, and plan to get more (although there won't be any that will be visible when I have a shirt on), and always have a watch, ring and necklace on. The ring I even wear to bed.

OT: When people practically bathe in perfume/cologne/body spray. It can small alright in moderation, but when you overdo it you're just making it difficult to breathe around you.
thats another thing...people who get all friggen upity about tatoos

ok FINE you dont like them, thats ok, but for crying out loud stop being such a self rightous ass about it, this is MY choice I will deal with the consequences

oh and....

"oh it will look awful when your 50!!"
"go fuck yourself"

I dont even have a tatoo and it annoys me

People who say "I could care less" instead of "I couldn't care less."

The former implies that you actually care to some degree, which completely undermines the point you are trying to make; I don't care.

Eh, watchs are fine unless it really stands out for either being tacky or too sort of... how do I put this... "Blingy"? Like street jewellery.

Jewellery doesn't annoy me to the point of getting actually angry unless its really, really overdone. Otherwise, it just irks me.

Oh and I also hate those ear stretcher thingies, now THOSE things piss me off.

My main one is the sound of a carbonated liquid being poured into a glass with ice (any recent Coke-Cola commercials give an exemplary example of what I'm talking about). This sound pisses me off so friggin bad I've actually lost my temper a few times and broke my old 13" PoS TV. I can't stand that sound.

My second one is when people bring people I don't know over to my house. I'm a shut-in when it comes to my home. My friends come over on occasion and my girlfriend stays over so much she practically lives here, but when any of them bring people I don't know over to my house, they get locked out. If I want you to know where I live, I will tell you.

I have many more that I could sit here and type out... like I have it in my head that everyone but me has filthy hands and I normally don't let anyone touch anything of mine, especially my guns (unless we are out shooting). If the guns are in my house, they are not to be touched (mainly because they are also kept loaded and are not locked away). It's not even the safety issue, it's the cleanliness issue that drives me insane.

Shit, this topic made me realize how many OCD qualities I actually have.

KETCHUP DOES NOT GO IN THE FRIDGE
NOOOOO!

Thats the main one for me.
This wouldn't of crossed my mind, but now I've seen this, yes! It really does secretly annoy me. My Boyfriends Mother *always* keep hers in the fridge, I always decline it, I hate really bloody cold sauce on my nice hot food.

Queues in shops, mainly clothes shops/high street shops in general. But not just the queues, it's when people take FOR-FUCKING-EVER to get their money out and pay, then take forever to sort all the shit out and get out of the god damn way so other people can go to the till and pay.

I swear I'm the only person who's physically and mentally ready when in the queue. I'll have my money or card ready, I'll pack my bags as quick a the speed of light and I'm gone.

oh oh oh, I know another one now - normal able bodied people who used the lift, GET THE FUCK OUT, you're taking up space for disabled people and Mothers with push chairs

When teenage girls say "I'll never find true love" just shut up. You're young, you'll find somebody, quit bitching. I have a friend who's 17 who always acts like that and it makes me rage.

Oh yeah, apart from family I've only had two people at my new flat ever. It's my private lair, that's none of people's concern!

And the touching thing too. I've even considered getting two examples of the same book just so I could read one at home and one on the go, just because I simply can't take a book that has touched the tables at uni or wherever with me into bed. Would have been too expensive and weird though.
Same principle applied for my gf, no "going to bed", not even for sex, while wearing street clothes.
I'm... kind of a germophobe.

Also, unprofessional people at work or uni. I can expect an official mail to have correct grammar, can't I? And maaaaybe you shouldn't use that facebook b&w picture of you and your cat where you are practically not able to be identified as your official representation in our internal EMS software.

Honking cars.

I'm like a skitish dog when it comes to the sudden sound of honking and it freaks me out.

And talking about dogs; When people have their dog, which they obviously can't control, unleashed.

People that don't think rap is music. By every technical definition, opinions of professional musicians in the industry, conservatories/music schools, dictionary definitions, and even in historical context, it absolutely inarguably IS music. It's fine if you don't like it, you're still wrong, it's music.
Personally I believe Rap has given the music industry a whole lot of good stuff. Without it Trip-Hop bands such as Portishead and Massive Attack wouldn't exist, as the genre takes a lot of the inspiration and samples from Rap music, hence the name. That's not even mentioning stuff like the British Grime scene, which is super popular nowadays, and something that wouldn't of existed if not for Hip-Hop.

I don't even like Hip-Hop that much, and still it's derivative forms have given me a lot of great music.

Rap is music in the same way that Dub-Step is music. all the pieces are there, its just that it sounds shit :)

OP - something that annoys me is when people feel insecure about their terrible taste of music, and feel they need to justify it. BAM!

- People who use the same words to explain themselves. This stems from working in a call center. Reps get the hang of explaining something one way...when I customer doesn't understand they state the same words slower and louder leading to the same confusion 9 times out of 10.

- A noticeably fake appearance. The more natural someone looks, the more attractive I find them as their self confidence really shines through. Girls who wear noticeable levels of makeup, attention grabbing earrings, high heels, tattoos and the like all bother me on a minor level. These are things I can look past of course...but it doesn't mean I like it.

- Children. Actually that's a big thing, but pretty much everything babies and kids do is annoying to me these days as I'm apparently an old coot.

People who giggle for absolutely no reason what so ever. While trying to have a serious conversation with them.

I knew someone would probably comment about it.

It was just how my mother raised me. I WISH I could just waltz outside and not worry about my face. But it was how I was taught. Looking polished - not only makeup, but that's the example here - makes you look like a polite and approachable person. Sounds so boring when you type it out like that...

I know it's not exactly a GREAT way of doing things, but I just feel better and make an all around better impression if I know I look nice.

Video game music is designed to be in the background, and in general is lackluster when compared to real music.
how is 'video game music' not 'real music'?

as for designed to be in the background..are movie scores also 'not real music'?

lastly, there are heaping tons of totally lackluster 'real music' that are much worse than anything to come out of video games.

i Don't know about the lift one, if your travelling more than 10 floors i think its fair game. Mainly due to the time and convenience issues.
Oh, of course! To clear it up, I did mean in a like, 3 floor shop that has escalators which are quicker than lifts. Thing is these are the kinda people I've seen who wouldn't get out for someone in a wheelchair :(
