Sadly, yes, usually after a decrescendo and a small pause... you know, when they get quieter? Yeah, you do. Also between movements of songs, (i.e Part I & II) but that is more acceptable.

When I'm out photographing birds and a group of noisy morons turn up and scare away the creatures you've spent the last three hours gaining trust with.

Seriously, if you're in a reserve and approaching a hide, do it quietly. I've heard numerous loud twats saying that they haven't seen this, that or the other........and it never surprises me seeing as they can be heard from the next county.
