I would watched this over the real "Fear" Factor. Last time I've check, eating horrible food is NOT a fear!

Unholy Gods, this one was fantastic! The bluff at the start was brilliant, I had no ides which way this was going to go and thought Kathleens character was going to murder the newcomer for ruining her party but then the video took a complete 180 in tone and I love it

I'm definitely with Beej on that one- get me outta here!. Dinner Party+ Small Talk= instant discomfort and exhaustion afterwards. Who can forget such instant classics like "I have no idea where to sit so I'll just stand awkwardly" and "Your half-baked political/religious/sports views make me grumpy but it would be impolite to contradict you in this setting." It's even worse when you're hosting and have to clean up; it's all the terror of forced social interaction coupled with the pleasure of picking up after people. You might counter with "But sometimes you get free food!" Oooh Kale Salad, Vegan loaf and gluten free crackers- you spoil me! =P
I think, "Try to strike up small talk with complete stranger" would have been a better challenge.The_Darkness said:

That's a personal experience I had before, and with was with someone I was interested in. It made me realise that maybe I wasn't ready to be in a relationship.
Doesn't help that the standard small talk questions I don't personally care about the answers that would be given. Why would I care about the weather? Why would I care about if you been to any music festivals? Why would I ask about what you like because the statistical likelihood of having an overlap is nil.
I can only feign interest if the other person is talking to begin with.
Hmm, yeah I'd agree. That said, I've gotten fairly good at that one too. Find something to break the ice (I regularly take train journeys, so a comment on how crowded the train is as they sit down beside you, followed by asking where they're headed, can work well.) After that, let the conversation flow. If they are interested in chatting, you won't find yourself doing all the work to keep the conversation going. If not, you're probably not going to make them interested by asking them (say) what their favourite movie is. And there's always a chance that you'll have something in common.scw55 said:

This feels more like an attack against those who cant defend themselves. It just has a very mean vibe to it that is really off putting. but then so do the shows their mocking but...it is really the sort of video that is difficul to slog through to the end.
