I know how to back up my contacts and i have my pics ready to move over
but does anyone know if you can transfer locked text messages you have in your inbox?
i dont mean forwarding them, i want them to say it was sent by the same person
i ask this cuz i have some messages that mean alot to me on there and i dont want to lose them

any help would be great!

There are multiple options for you here.

First, check if you can send the messages over Bluetooth, as that's a functionality that can be overlooked sometimes. If both phones have it, research that.

Next, see if the texts are stored on (or can be saved to) the SD flash card or sim card (if your phone has one). If not, or only one phone has this, etc, nevermind that.

You could try bringing it to your service provider and seeing what your options are.

Those are the realistic options. If you're feeling really adventurous, go learn how to code, download the information to your desktop, convert it to whatever language the new phone works, and fool it into thinking it received those texts. This would be very time-consuming.

So yeah, I'd suggest either forwarding, talking to someone from your service provider, or hoping for sim card magic.

you could also try writing the message out on paper, and putting that paper away in safe keeping. it would probably last longer.

Hey, that's a good idea. Or maybe get the person who texted you to write you the message, assuming they're able to; if it's a girl, and you like her, she'll think it's sweet! :D
