In fiction it's a simple fact that if a character is thinking logically about a problem without a predetermined excuse (profession, known for being wise. etc) the probability of him being a villain is increased anywhere between 5 to 40% based on the genre, nature of the protagonist, and several other factors. If the villain is known from the start he is almost always using logic for everything.

and if the character is not a villain then the probability of him dying, because he's using logic is increased drastically. I have no clue why I felt the need to post this, but I'm just curious as to why it works out this way so often, and I'm also curios as to what random stuff you will talk about.
