Achievement List: http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:Subject_DM/Lonesome_Road_Achievements

This is the final DLC for Fallout: New Vegas, this is where every bit of information we have about Ulysses and the Divide comes together.

Based on the achievement list, there's a few obvious things we can predict, ED-E will be able to acquire new upgrades, we'll have a new weapon, some sort of rocket, or rocket launcher, and there are several warheads scattered throughout the area.

As for the achievement "Condemned to Repeat It", it's description shows us that despite the Divide's reputation for being hazardous and uninhabitable, there are indeed people down there. I don't think I need to tell anyone that the first half of the phrase that makes up this achievements title is "Those who don't learn from the past are...", so my guess, the inhabitants of the Divide are either trying to rebuild the Old World, or, judging by the achievement's icon, remnants of Caesar's Legion, whose historical connotation is rather obvious.

Of course, the presence of nuclear warheads introduces a few more possibilities. Maybe the inhabitants seek to use them to ravage the world once more, that would certainly match the concept of failing to learn from past mistakes.

Then we have Ulysses himself. Joshua Graham implied that Ulysses might have been a Frumentarii, if there are Legionary's in the divide, that could explain his presence there, but that doesn't fit with Ulysses' messages in the Big Empty. Ulysses claims "...the Old World sleeps there...", if the Divide were a Legion outpost, it certainly wouldn't represent the Old World.

I can only guess what's going on in the Divide and why Ulysses would go there in the first place. What do you think will happen?

I've been wondering this whole time whether or not Ulysses will be a companion or an enemy for this DLC, hopefully he'll be an ally because all this backstory that's been leading up to this has me hoping to fight along side this second courier they keep building up.

I predict that Ulysses is going to use the Divides weather machines to build a flying machine to travel to locations in the sky meeting his long lost son Telmachus and trying to find his way home to Ithaca, and on the way he will be tempted and his crew will revolt a few times angering Neptune and Mars is helping Caesar so he can't help, but ole Pluto will help a bit to get something from his home in the Underworld....of the sky!

I have a feeling they might do something similar to the planned ending of Van Buren (Black Isle's cancelled Fallout 3) if nukes are involved, but that's just wild speculation on my part. On a much smaller scale obviously. I think this because the DLC's especially seem to be using alot of ideas from Van Buren. (Like Big MT, Joshua Graham and New Canaan among many others) Some info is on the wiki: http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/B.O.M.B.

You might want to put spoilers in the titles, because the names of the achievements are sort of spoiler-ish. *shrug*

Ulysses does come across as something of a seeker, doesn't he? Evaluating all factions and lore across the Mojave.

From bits of DLC epilogue and journals, it sounds like you will, on some level, be in conflict with the guy - him possibly representing a desire to rebuild in the image of prewar US (in some fashion) and you... this is where it gets really sketchy, given the range of options you'd expect given to the player - I suppose the wording could encompass both aligning with him and taking an alternative stance...

Looks like the two of you have a history at least - I do hope they have come up with a way that you really can form and carry your own path, without finding yourself in the usual situation of: "You can side with A, B, or C. Now choose", because it really sounds like this is between him and you -- no more pick-one faction heads - this time YOU are the Joshuas and Daniels.
