I can pull it off, despite my less than stellar looks.

Women all the time complement me on my hair, asking how I got it so curly (it's extremely curly).

As a guy with long hair I have to say yes. That being said, the guy has to take care of it and properly style it. 3/4 of the time I just put it up and leave it at that, the last 1/4 is usually left for when I'm going out. Any guy can pull it off, though you may need to find a different style to fit your face (just like women).

I've always had long hair. Currently I look like Kurt Cobain. If it were black it be Dave Grohl. That man is the most attractive man ever probably. Isay that as a straight male, what do chicks think of him?
Dave Grohl or Kurt Cobain? I would say Dave isn't attractive at all, and I say that as a straight male. Cobain would have more appeal if I was a woman, but that might be because his music is much better.

Sure men can have long hair although I've only ever seen Bikers and IT technician pull it off.

Having longish hair myself I obviously support it.

Don't watch Lord of the Rings if you can't stand men with long hair.

Even Gollum's hairs are long.

Yes! It's a radical look and I think it looks good if done well. I'd say I have medium-long hair nowadays, but I've worn it both long, short, and medium and I think it looks best when it's around shoulder-length.

I actually like long hair on the men folk, but not stupid long though, maybe a little past the shoulder.

I will say some guys can pull it off, and some can't.

I have long hair and I don't regret it at all (unless it's windy, then it's annoying). A few of my male friends also have long hair (we all had it before we met, so it wasn't an influence thing). I used to get berated for it, with people saying things like "cut your hair, you girl/hippie!". It never affected me, and now people around me can't imagine me without it.

I used to have long hair when I was an angst ridden teen. Then I grew up and realised it looked terrible. I guess I was going for a Jim Morrison with a bit of Kurt Cobain look at the time. Was awesome for headbanging at that Disturbed concert though. It was fun while it lasted.

Some people pull it off. Most don't.

For me, I have been growing my hair for 7 years now, with the occasional cut. it currently sits in tightish curls to just below my shoulder blades and I love it. Combined with a beard and mustache, I feel it just looks awesome some days.

Other days its a pain in the ass and think about shaving my head.

It all depends on the day and how im feeling. overall though I think I would miss having long hair, as I reckon I just look dumb with short.

I can stuff my hair in my mouth for the first time in my life with no intentions of cutting it soon.

It does get annoying at times but hats help to keep it under control in a pinch.

I approve of my hair, granted I should wash it little more often. It lets me have all sorts of absurd looks so I think it's fine.

It looks fine, as long as you keep it up.

When you don't keep it clean/maintained you look HORRID.

Then again, I'm lazy so I just shave my head from time to time.

I used to have amazing viking locks, long enough to sit on (10 years of growth)...
...but employers were totally jealous of it during interviews. I mean, they must have been, seeing as how I never got hired (outside of game QA) until I cut it.

About the only one I can see is the "Jesus cut" with the part down the center, and accompanied with the full beard. Anything beyond that looks too feminine and as such kinda counter productive IMHO. Such is the way I did it when I was a teenager before shaving it all off down to the skin.

It depends on the type of man, on some it looks outright silly, on some it's "yeah, okay", and on some it's "if I were a woman I'd be wet right now".

I personally DO have long hair, because
1. one day I decided that I'm not going to endure getting my hair cut anymore (I hate the process itself) so I said to my mom I want to have long hair
2. Later I realized how stupid I looked with short hair.

Those it suits look amazing.

But often at times it's left unkempt, an unsuited to their face types.

I really like long hair on men, but at the same time those who don't pull it off well do make me sigh.

I know my ideal hair length is shoulder (At current age and face look) I haven't got that at the moment because... well haircuts. Money. Etc.

But yeah you should get a few different trims to see what works on you, Or let it grow out once just to see how lengths suit you.
