For anyone who feels like it...

I've been interested in this girl for awhile. We've been flirty for a few weeks now. I thought I was on to something, so I invited her over Monday to hang out and such. She came over, we had a great time, I felt like there was a lot of chemistry, she had a good time. She said we should do it more often.

Here's the catch.

She didn't catch on that I was serious about my interest. She thought I was kidding about all of it.

I discovered this after she informed me that she asked a different guy to the upcoming dance. Bit of a shocker for me, I thought I was in.

So she's aware I'm interested, but she's too wrapped up in this guy. So I decided to be supportive of her to show some understanding and talk to her about the guy. She doubts his sincerity and suspects he only wants to bed her.

So I ask you, dear Escapists, what shall I do here? I think we'd be great, and I'm pretty sure she's still at least somewhat interested in me. I think this guy DOES just wanna bed her, but I don't really know.

PS. Now that I'm done sounding like a petty high schooler, (oh wait...) I'm gonna leave.

You should move on and not waste your time, if she was interested she will come back. In the meantime you have to come to the reality that you are in High School. High School relationships do not usually last, especially if you are planning on going to college. Move on and find someone else to do grown up things with, just make sure you use protection.

I don't mean to sound rude, but it's really pointless to have a new thread every time someone thinks their personal problems are everyone's worry. I'll forgive you this once, however, since you're relatively new here.

Tell her not to bed that guy until she's ready. If she does it before she realizes if he's worth her time or not, she's not worth yours. If she doesn't and realizes she actually likes him, you get to grow up and accept it. If she doesn't and realizes that he's not worth her time, congratulations; you got to round two.
