Longest time spent playing a game?

I tend to go pretty light, mainly 'cos I'm a 360 user and I'm horribly paranoid about it getting too hot and imploding... I guess the biggest session would've been 10-12 hours on Oblivion.

I could quite happily go for longer - I'm a student so I've learned the unrelated but co-existing arts of pulling three all-nighters in a row and living on biscuits, rendering sleep and meal breaks somewhat redundant as long as I've got a healthy supply of tea.

I wish I was joking on that last bit.

I am blessed as I really dont need much sleep most of the time so I managed(on a dare) to play Elder Scrolls 4:Oblivion for 4 days! I got a collected £200 for the dare and I broadcasted it live on Ustream. It was my finest moment.

I once spent a whole 2 months just playing Megaman X. it got to the point where I was counting the amount of times I would get hit and how long it would take to beat the game lol. I managed to do a full clear in 45 minutes with no damage and no hits taken. Talk about a misspent youth.

Maybe 10 hours possibly, can't really remember.

I can say I did play Megaman Battle Network 3 on the GBA for over 100 hours though, (I broke the clock, it only goes up to 99 hours!)

Ok, the question is what's the longest amount of time you've spent playing a game in one sitting? Also what game was it you were playing?

Mine would probably be Final Fantasy X. I was having trouble defeating a boss in the mountain area so I decided I needed to train up. I was about 12 at the time and couldn't be bothered to go into school, so after about half an hour of unconvincing whining to my mum I got the day off . Started playing at around 9 when my mum left for work and carried on until about 6 in the morning the following day. 21 hours of gaming, stopping occasionally for snacks and whenever nature intended. I'm not sure how that compares to other gamers so I decided to find out.

P.S. Unfortunately I did not get the next day off

Dude. Fuck Seymour Flux. It took me ages to get to a level where I stood a chance against him. Once you find out that he's weak to poison, of all things, the fight becomes much easier, but still...he's got some downright unfair moves.

One time, I played RE5 with my brother for 8 hours straight. Good times.

One time I started playing Starcraft around noon, and quit playing about 1 or so in the morning, but it was daylight savings so it was actually 2, so it was 13 or 14 hours, depending on which way you look at it.
