An unopened copy of the Original Star Wars Trilogy on VHS.

Getting ready to move, cleaning up my closet and boxes and attic, etc. I found some stuff I forgot I had, some 100+ year old coins, some hot wheels, but also that star wars set. Kind of cool. But what the heck do I do with it? Seem a shame to just sit there or to get rid of. I wonder if, because it's the original version it has any value.

You fool! You've just given yourself away to Lucas's privet army, The Lucasartisians. You will likely be hunted down by the foot soldiers who will attempt to destroy your VHS collection, probably with fire. They probably won't destroy you though, they'll just wipe your memory and replace your VHS collection with a remastered VHS collection (the remastered ones came out on VHS didn't they?)

In all seriousness, I'd suggest holding on to the box set. If you want to sell it online you could probably get something for them. If you wait until Lucas and/or the cast die then sell it, you'd likely get much, much more. I'd hold onto it if it were mine (my VHS collection is open and has been watched multiple times though mine are back home with mom)

A virgin copy of the original trilogy is probably going to be worth it's weight in gold soon to the right people, the rate George 'The Franchise Strangler' Lucas seem to be trying to purge them from existence.

As we were moving stuff to prepare for the hurricane, my family and I found some old Atari 2600 game manuals and one actual game, some Tennis game or another. Little piece of history.

Wait a couple of years for the new Blu-Rays to have circulated and for all the old copies to be burnt in a fire and they'll probably be worth a stupid amount (if they're not already).

Just don't open them.

Don't worry, my plan is already executed. Hamill and Ford will be dead before sunrise tomorrow. After my encounter with Jeremy Bulloch, I shall grant him a clean death, out of respect.

I found a copy of David Lynch's Dune at the library, on two VHS tapes, for $1.50.
I'd have gotten it, too, if only for the novelty, except that I lack a VHS player, and I haven't finished the book.

OT: Awesome, dude.
You can probably find a VHS player at a store somewhere.

Also, when's it from? Is it the re-release from the nineties that added the good stuff (the seen with Jabba in IV, slightly better graphics) but not the crap (Anakin from the prequels at the end of VI instead of that one guy who we assume is Anakin)?

NO. NOT MARK HAMILL! No, he must continue his legendary work as the Joker! He must not die! HE MUST NOT DIE!

Dude, keep it and try and put it on DVD or something. It's the last of it's kind!

I thought he said this run of the Joker in Arkham City would be the last time he does that role...but then I think he said the same thing about Arkham Asylum and, the Batman Beyond movie...

Oh he'll come back as long as Warner Bros. is willing to hire him. And considering how much we love him in that role, they'd be stupid not to.
