So I literally just finished watching 'The End of Time Part 2' the final Doctor Who episode to feature David Tenant. Over the Easter holiday I watched right through from Christopher Eccleston to David Tenant, and do you know what I realised?

Matt Smith is a pale imitation of the Doctor who will never live up.

For discussion value: Have you ever gone along with something (a videogame series, movie series, books series, tv show, anything with a long continuity) and always thought 'Yeah, this is getting better' or at least 'this isn't any worse than it used to be', and then you've gone back to rewatch or read the old version, and realised that it wasn't just nostalgia talking, and the old days really were the best?

South Park. Definitely South Park. Some of the newer episodes of the last season were just terrible, and so far this season hasn't really done much to redeem it. Really, it's amazing that the show went as long as it did without going downhill; in fact, for most of its early life, it got steadily better. But that doesn't make it any less disappointing to watch its decline.

The Simpsons. It's been dead for 12 years now. It's a very pale imitation of its former, edgier self.

First I like Matt Smith, I think he's better then Eccleston and maybe better then Tenant.

As for shows that got worse: Scrubs, Simpsons, Futurerama, Digimon and Mythbusters.

Ninja'd
OT: I'll just suggest Spongebob then. (Yes I watch Spongebob, shutup) But seriously seasons 1-4 were comedy gold, the new ones make me want to vomit.

I'm one of those dweebs that prefers Connery as movie Bond.
On another Connery note, no matter how hard the new Indiana Jones films will try, they will never be as good as Raiders or Last Crusade.

Did I mention that Lucas is making another one? Set in the Bermuda Triangle no less.

I wish I was making this up.
