Looking for a Game

A friend of mine asked me to find a game that she played about 10ish years ago.. She didn't give me a lot of information to go on, and I was hoping that someone here could help me..

Here's all the info she gave me..

there was this rts game that I played for about 1 hour 10-12 years ago
pretty good graphics for it's time I think
had a sci-fi side and a fantasy side
was really good for LAN play
I think it might have had a heavy fog of war
like the kind you can't see through or that goes semi-visible after
oh and the sci-fi side had two leggeg walkers

Either of those match your description pretty well. At least I think they do, never really played either myself.

There was a flood of RTS at the time, most of which sank without a trace. I can't remember any that combined fantasy and scifi though, that sounds pretty unique.

Could it be one of the Dune games? I know it's not separate sci-fi and fantasy, but the Dune universe is one of those that blend elements of the two together.

Uh...was it War Winds?
That's the closest thing I can think of, simply because they had sci-fi (aliens) and fantasy (orc-ish critters, I think) influences or somesuch.
Great, now I have to go find that game again.

Sounds a bit like Metal Fatigue. But that game has no fantasy side...

I'm going to take two wild stabs in the dark - Dark Reign 2 or one of the KKND series. Neither of them exactly fit, mind - each side has mutants rather than fantasy creatures. Or hold on... what about that freeware one... A third stab, then - Glest?
