Looking for a good Android Gaming Tablet

Well with the number of games I like rapidly appearing on android (Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition and Dragon Quest games) I'm finally considering buying a tablet. I really dislike the proprietary nature of Apple products so Android is the way to go for me, but I admit to knowing VERY little about tablets. I want something affordable but that can play most mobile games available on Android without problems.

I was considering getting an NVidia Shield as the price tag (319$) is far below other competitors like the Sony and Amazon equivalent and has the streaming capacity from gaming PCs (I'll have to upgrade my PC's GPU which I was going to do anyway as I only have a GTX 550 right now)

Does anyone have any other suggestions or experience with android gaming tablets?

Also I was a bit concerned about the 16GB Storage... how big are games usually on tablets? Just curious if I would quickly hit my limit on storage space for games or if this is rarely an issue?

The Shield should have a MicroSD slot so if necessary you could add one of those to increase your storage capacity. That being said, most Android games are fairly small. It's only the ones with a lot of 3D environments, pre-rendered video, etc that end up requiring more than a few hundred megabytes. The Shield I think is a good choice because it has pretty decent specs especially considering the price. It should be able to run all mobile games currently released.
