Lately I've been buying several games a week, and not playing them for more than a few hours, if that. I'm looking for something that'll keep me hooked and make me feel all happy inside.

My PC isn't great, but isn't complete crap either. I can run Oblivion fine, Fallout 3 on the lowest settings, although Vats seems to hurt my computer and my mouse lags like hell, all Valve games run like a dream, and Prototype runs pretty well too. Hopefully that'll give you an idea of the kind of things I can run.

I wouldn't mind either an FPS or a RTS, although after playing through Starcraft 2 most RTS's seem pretty boring now.

I'm considering - Modern warfare, not the second one because I finished it on Xbox in 6 hours and was not happy. The first is supposed to be better.
Battlefield: Bad company 2, although not sure if it'll run.
Arkham Asylum, but again, now sure if it'll run.
Dragon age: Orange juice, but again, not sure if it'll run. Also played it on the Xbox, but didn't find it as addictive as Mass effect 1 or 2. Pc Version might be better.

I'm not into horror games much, as I don't like to sit there wondering when the next bathroom accident will happen instead of playing the game. Although if the games really good, I might just try it anyway. Hearing good things about the Stalker games, so not sure. Plus I have no idea which one to get first, since there's three on Steam and I'm not entirely sure what's what.

Played on the Penny arcade game, and liked the combat system but the game just blew. Tried looking for something similar, but most games are action RPG's these days, and the turn based are all really old, and I want something with a little better graphics than Fallout 2. Although that game was awesome.

On a side note, I want to play more Oblivion, but my fear of glitches has made me flee. More specifically, the 'double face glitch' you get when fast travelling with a companion. Made me cringe and Alt+f4 out of it. I don't know why, but graphic glitches like that freak me the hell out. I know there's a spell mod where you cast it on them and it goes away, but just the fact it's there and unfixed makes me nervous. I'm such a wuss.

Anyway, any ideas for games?

TL;DR - Need good games!

Edit - Also, I'd prefer either Steam or Direct2drive to get them. The outside world sucks.

Modern Warfare is a great game.
Singleplayer wise I mean. Multiplayer is also good..so it stays a good game.

Though Bad Company 2 is nice multiplayer wise but singleplayer...I thought it was quite meh.

Also, Oblivion is awesome and I don't see that much glitches in there. Maybe when installing a mod but that is because of the mod then I guess. :)

I'D say, those three are good.
Or Fallout if you like Oblivion with guns and ants.

...Play STALKER shadow of chernobyl. Do it.

Also try:

World in Conflict.
Civilization 4.
FEAR.
Doom 3.
Rome Total War.
Painkiller.
Sacred 1 or 2.
Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines.
And for shits and giggles, Richard Burns Rally

Strange, if you can run all valve games (L4D2) and prototype smoothly, FO3 should run well on high. Hell, if Oblivion runs fine FO3 should run better.

Case of good cpu paired with an old flagship gpu maybe?

Recettear, freakin' addicted to that game. The concept of it sounds so dumb but when you play it it's ridiculously awesome and very addictive. "Capitalism ho!"

I'm thinking so yeah, only have a hd 4850 card at the moment, so it's a bit crappy. Gonna play with a few fallout settings and see what I can do to make it run a little better.

I got the Civ 5 demo, but I'm not sure if I'd get bored or not. Then again the demo was only 100 turns and I barely made a second city. I'm just thinking I'll get bored after a few hours, but maybe not. See what else turns up.

Also, I loved the hole weapon upgrade system in the Wolfenstein demo I played, is there any other fps with something similar, or should I get Wolfenstein?
