Hey everyone, I am looking for information regarding headsets. I have been using a Plantronics Gamecom headset for a couple years now (this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA19P11M7446) and I have decided that I want an upgrade. I have no problems with it other than the sound quality leaves something to be desired when listening to music or games with great audio. It is also comfortable enough and light enough to wear for very extended periods of time. Here is what I'm looking for.
I want corded, over ear headset, so a setup that includes a microphone. Yes I realize I can get better sound quality out of something like dedicated headphones, but that's not what I'm looking for.
It needs to be light and comfortable to wear for extended playtime (8+ hours).
Passive noise canceling is a plus, but not a requirement. I dislike active noise cancelling.
The microphone should be good quality; noise cancelling, etc.
Prefer to have a volume control on the headset itself, though not entirely necessary.
Sound quality! I absolutely want superb sound quality out of these. This shares the most important feature with being comfortable.
I am possibly considering a setup with a dedicate mic and dedicated headphones because I will be starting up doing youtube videos this year, just a thought tho
Cost is not so much an issue, but I would like to see a range of models and prices that I can compare and whatnot. Any input is appreciated!
