Looking for Action Shooter

Hey I'm looking for a cool FPS or TPS action shooter that's just pretty much action the whole way through. Either like Painkiller or something even like Max Payne. Anyone know of any? PC games by the way.

Games I won't play however are:

Halo
Gears of War
Modern Warfare
Mass Effect

Borderlands. The multiplayer sucks on PC I've heard, but the game still kicks ass without it.

Also, Operation: Flashpoint should be good.

Erm...Killing floor is pretty good. It's a zombie FPS with some co-op thrown in but you can play alone if you want to. Think House of the Dead meets the zombie horde mode from Call of Duty: World at War.

The people who made Painkiller did make another game called Dreamkiller, it looks very similar to Painkiller but if it's any good I do not know.

You could try S.T.A.L.K.E.R. or Fallout 3. Those were good. Dead Space was pretty good as well, even though the plot shits itself inside out.

And by the way, Mass Effect is an RPG first, shooter second. Remember that, or you'll end up hating it if you ever play it.

First of all: why won't you play those? Especially Halo is a straight forward smooth shooter without bells and whistles, meets your criteria really. Same for Gears of War, it's one big dakadakadaka fest. No puzzles or anything, both are just: go there, kills lots of aliens/monsters, go to a different place and do the same.

But I'm not that much of a spoilsport so I'm still going to suggest something else. In the line of Painkiller you can try out Serious Sam [http://store.steampowered.com/app/41000] , a shoot 'em up with simply hordes and hordes of monsters.

Also L4D2, just shoot or smash a crapload of zombies, plain and simple.

Mass Effect isn't really an action packed shooter... It's more of an RPG with TPS elements...
Doesn't really belong on that list. But I digress.
Modern Warfare is an excellent shooter as far as they go. But it's on that there list so I'm guessing you're not playing that. Wet is a pretty action packed third person shooter, but it gets repetitive and monotonous after continuous play, I don't know if it's out for PC. Although I seem to be the only person out there who likes it, I love The Club. It's fun, it's action packed, and it's good good replay value.

The L4D games. Only played the second one's demo, but it alread seems much better.
