Am I the only person who seems to enjoy the old republic -blinks-

Anyway.. other different MMO's

City of Heroes is fun if you want something a little different. (champions online too but I found heroes a touch more fun. but give em both a poke if you're bored)
Lord of the rings online is good for a free to play game.
Dungeon Fighter online was entertaining if you got decent friends to run with.
Fallen earth looks to be different but I haven't really played it yet..
World of Tanks isn't really an "mmo" but close enough in definition if you want something completely different to try.

All of the above are free to play.

Guild wars 1 was entertaining and probably have some people who left revisiting soon with 2 coming on the horizon.

Guild Wars 2 will be available for pre-order in a few more weeks, and give you access to the beta if pre-ordered. Best bet.

I'd recommend LotRO and/or DDO.

Lord of the Rings Online is good. It pretty much follows your generic post-WoW MMO gameplay, in Tolkien's Middle Earth.

Dungeons and Dragons Online is also good. More of a hack-n-slash feel, with platforming elements. And, except for some holiday events, it all takes place in private instances.

Both are Turbine's F2P MMO's, which offer a fair amount of free content. Also, as you play either game, you gain Turbine Points which can buy more content. So, you never necessarily have to actually spend any cash on them.

Well I have had fun in Star Trek: Online. All you have to lose is some bandwidth for the download and some time. It helps if you like Star Trek. Just delete the Lock Boxes you find, they want you to pay real money to open them. Or to trade massive amounts of in-game "gold" for keys, which takes a while.

LOTRO is pretty good and free to play.

try ragnarok online, had a tonne of classes but lots of grinding.
Dofus/wakfu is a pretty unique game too...

I started playing Pandora Saga two weeks ago because of the Steam promo. It's quite decent, but there's Russians spamming Russian in the English only chats. If you can deal with that, then you'll love the game.
