Hey Escapists, I am looking for a great movie to watch, any recommendations?

Here is some movies I really love to go by,
Citizen Kane
Samurai X: Trust and Betrayal
Batman(1984)
The Dark Knight
Ed Wood
A Hard Days Knight
Watchmen
Spirited Away
Dr. Strangelove
Patton
Taken

It doesn't need to be exactly like any movies above, I am just looking for a great movie, doesn't really matter what genre it is, as long as it is not a sports movie, I hate those.

If you're going to watch anime movies:
Paprika
Akira

They're terrific movies.

For live action:
Donnie Darko
Pan's Labyrinth
V for Vendetta

I think those are all my favorite movies, more or less.

The Spirit? it was meh, but some of my friends said that when they saw the spirit, it was like watching the watchmen(but seriously, who watches them?)but with more greenscreen action.

Since you like Taken I shall suggest the Bourne series and the last James Bond flicks( Daniel Craig). The Blindside is good even though it was a sports movie.

Two words:

Pulp Fiction.

Really fantastic movie. Samuel L Jackson at his very best. Travolta puts on a solid performance, too.

if one day you get to see Peter Ustinov's rarest tv movie: Thief of Baghdad 1978 (incredible acting but story is regular...)

either way, almost all of Ustinov's movies are awesome!
He was in:

Quo Vadis
Spartacus
Topkapi
Logan's Run
Death on the Nile
Appointment with Death
Alice in Wonderland (1999)
etc

All of this, but I would add Hitchcock in there, North by Northwest, Rear Window, Vertigo etc.

You might also like The Maltese Falcon and The Graduate for classics.

And (500) Days of Summer, because I just saw that and it's amazing.
