Due to forces beyond my control I have not received the PS3 that was purchased for me as a gift. The moment I was told about it I became excited considering the last console I had was a used Dreamcast that I purchased because I was assured I could burn games to cd. So, now that it may be some time before I see my PS3 I was looking for something to play from my PC.

I have heard a lot about emulators from friends and family. But to be honest have not taken the time to look for or research any. I was hoping to get some recommendations from gamers. What emulators work well and how complicated is it to get running on my PC?

...Piracy is bad
You shouldn't be posting this thread, it's been done before and could support Malware, however emulators vary from models to your graphics card

Yeah, this thread will be locked; as the Escapist does not support piracy in any way, shape or form.

Although I believe that some emulators are OK to use (although I don't), like a Game Boy Colour or a ZX Spectrum Emulator, because the console and it's respective games are impossible to find in working condition.

I still don't support piracy, though.

I wouldn't get too excited about emulators. They're only available for older systems (ie playstation, snes etc), and most of the games available can be surpassed by picking up cheap PC games. If your looking for an emulator for the PS3 you wont find one and if you could you'd need a godlike PC to run it. Plus piracies evil and all that stuff.

I wasn't expecting to find anything outside of an NES emulator. I apologize I am not trying to promote piracy.
