When I made a smurf account, got it to level 30 I deliberately trolled-lost a lot of games and ended up in 900~ ELO, just to know if "ELO Hell" did exist, within two weeks I was up to 1554 in completely solo queue (Didn't duo queue with my usual partner to prove the point) so there is no ELO hell, and a good player can make a lot of difference, you probably just aren't quite there yet.
