Looking Into Buffy Comics

I've gotta get a friend a gift for Christmas, I wasn't sure what she would have wanted until in the middle of one conversation we were having I mentioned that the Buffy series (which she adores) didn't end with the show and actually has an ongoing continuation comic. She lost her mind and so that's what I'm going to get her, however I have no real idea what Trade to start her on with these (she's got little experience with comics but has liked what little she's dealt with).

I've got a very large comic collection so I'm fairly well versed in dealing with crap, so don't worry about terms, any additional info you can give about the series is appreciated as well.

It's the first 19 comics of "season 8".

If you want to get her the comics instead, just going from the start is probably the best option. The order is:

Season 8, v1: The Long Way home
Season 8, v2: No Future for You
Season 8, v3: Wolves at the Gate
Season 8, v4: Time of Your Life
Season 8, v5: Predators and Prey

I'm not sure about the others, but you should be able to find the list online somewhere.

There's also the option of getting all or some of the four library editions, as opposed to the eight volumes. Those are hardcover with the bonus of some cover and sketch galleries, which is nice. Although I'm not sure how they stack up price-wise.
