Yeah, never heard of a woman who doesn't take advantage of looking 16 when she's 22. Espcialy since at that age most men are horrible perverts & the women are also, so it works out for both involved (not saying they arn't at older ages too)

I'm in my mid-twenties and have never been carded, stopped, or questioned about my age. Most people assume that I'm in my mid thirties due to the scars, limp that sometimes flares up, and and already receding hairline.

I have the opposite situation. I'm fairly tall and I have a very deep voice. Although I've been told I have a baby face, I can grow facial hair very quickly and within a day I have a very dark shadow going.

When I was sixteen (freshly turned sixteen) I was offered tequila at a hotel in Miami. Often times restaurants assumed I'd be drinking and brought me a wine glass.

Its also useful because even among people who are older than me they often see me as equal or older than they are and don't treat me like the "little kid"

The only downside though is that people have always expected me to be much more mature and competent, even those who knew my real age. There was much less leeway for screwing up when I was in grade school and I lost the "puppy dog" look very early.

This also once led to an awkward moment when somebody thought my mom (who looks much younger than she is) was my older sister and started hitting on her.

Yeah, not exactly OT but thought I'd share.

My advice: use it to your advantage and be happy you'll look younger when you get up in your years.

When I am unshaven, I can pass for around 30. I'm 26 and a half.

When I'm clean shaven, I can pass for 16. At least until I speak.

I have a rather "feminine" face, and when I was younger, I would be mistaken for a girl all the time. It makes me seem younger than I really am.

People usually assume that I'm 13-15 years old, boy are they surprised when I say 19.
I realized a few months ago that the only place I didn't need to prove my age was at my local games store. I kinda beamed thinking that they thought I WAS over 18. Until I realised last week that every single time I have purchased a mature game in store, my mother has been with me on each of those occasions. I usually buy online, Australian prices and all.

I use to hate looking young, especially in High School, however after starting University, I've begun to embrace the childlike youth. Getting hit on by 25+ year old men feels especially creepy, knowing I look like a tween, but none the less I still love this youth.

A few year back (though it tends to happen to me still), I was always mistaken for being in high school and not always recognized as an adult. In some situations, it wasn't all that bad, but in others, it was riddled with WTF.

The good was that many complemented on my youthful appearance. Many couldn't believe that I was an adult, but once listening to me speak and express my thoughts and ideas, there was no denying it. It also made it easy for many people to speak with me more comfortably because I don't seem intimidating.

The bad is not getting noticed. All the dates that I had in the past few years were all because I had to approach women and speak with them, cus' they didn't feel interested in a young looking guy. I also got ID'd everywhere I went, even when going out with some of my other friends who where the exact same age as me and they didn't get ID'd. Also, a lot of people tend to have low expectations of me because they expect to be "young and naive."

I'm just blessed to have a youthful look because when I'm much older, I'll look like I'm in my prime when in fact I'm in my 40s or 50s.

Ugh, all the time. I was singled out and carded in a Casino, I've had waiters pre-emptively remove my wine glass....Once, while wearing a "Batman" shirt, I had a waiter tell me something along the lines of "Batman eats his vegetables", when he noticed that part of my meal was the only thing left on my plate. (A) I was getting to it, and (B) I'm twenty-one fucking years old, and I'll eat what I want, asshole.

But I guess it'll come in handy later in life, so....I still feel generally positive about it.

I've been told I look like a very young Stephen Fry and people have aged me anywhere between 18 and 25.
I'm still not 18, got half a year left.
Though I think it has to do with my mannerisms more than anything else.
The only thing holding back my age gauge is the fact I can't and won't be able to grow facial hair till I'm 30.

same for me mate..since my 18th people have assumed im a thirty some..they still do..but at least now im only a year off from being one...so..maybe in a few years ill look younger than my age for the first time

I'm 17, but people normally guess my age correctly or I think I'm one or two years older than I am, due to me being quite tall (I'm taller than my 40-something-year-old mother, and a bit taller than my 22-year-old sister - then again, males on average are taller than females when they catch up in puberty).

Aside from my height, I'm fairly spotty and only recently bought my first shaver, meaning that I had sideburns for quite some time. So there's that.

I would if I could. I can not shave for three weeks and all I have to show for it is I look like a high school kid who hasn't learned to shave yet. And I turn 24 in 6 days.

Most new people I've met since then are surprised to hear I'm not in my late 20's.

As for differences... I get ID'd about as much as I ever did, but random strangers suddenly call me Sir every now and then (which is goddamn weird), and I find that people take me a bit more seriously in general. I've also had a few friends tell me that I suddenly seem like an actual adult now, though that might have more to do with general style changes and a recent confidence boost.

You know what is really weird? Getting called sir at 14 because you act and talk like someone twice your age, and that was pre-beard, although beards are still great.

ah kids will leave you alone if there's a chance they might get hurt.....yeah ok....when your going into anti teenager defense mechanisms it can get a bit on the depressing side. I think i'm lucky in the regards that i'm a pretty big fellow so I usually just need a level of sternness to mediate things.

Yeah I'm probably wrong, although the kids that your talking about sound like the type that wouldn't be too shy about testing an older fellow. How do you carry yourself around? It might sound funny but even holding an upright posture (that's actually more suitable/healthy for spine alignment) as opposed to the sort of slouchy position that people generally carry can really go a ways.

It's part of that primitive pack mentality that us humans haven't completely grown out of yet...hehe

As I lost my passport, not being able to buy smokes is a real ***** for a smoker. Yet that is mostly down to overzealous wankers in stores.

I appear to be older then I am as far as many are concerned. I get mistaken for a 27 year old ALARMINGLY regularly. I once had a classmate say "Hello ser" because he thought I was a lecturer. I mean, sure, I am older then most of my peers (21) and I powerdress a lot of the time because I like to do so. Yet seriously. Being mistaken for someone far older then you are is annoying.

Sometimes people think I am younger then I am. This is getting progressively rarer though.

Only problem I have is I have dated people who are slightly younger then me who look a lot younger then me. Thats creepy. Used to get weird looks when I was 18 cause my 16 year old girlfriend looked about 14. And, as I have said, I looked about 20 at the time. So yeah.

Looking younger is shite if you are dating someone older then you.

Well my posture is pretty awful, plus I kinda limp around when I walk and I tend to trip a lot, sometimes I also grab my arm like I'm hurt, don't know why, I also look really tired all the time, so maybbe that makes me non-threatening...
Though according to everyone I look 16-17 I don't think so, I don't really see it but whatever.
