Looks Over Performance?

Performance first for weapons, always.
But sometimes looks over performance for armor/clothing.

Looks take priority over stats, unless the stats are so bad that I'm putting myself at a huge disadvantage.

So say I have the choice between two sets of armour.

One gives +100 defence, the other, +60.

If the +60 looks much better than the +100, I'll take it.

If the good looking armour has +10, then it's simply too underpowered.

Yeah, Brotherhood Power Armor over Enclave Power armor, any day.

In shooters, Do you tend to pick weapons that you like the look/sound of even if they are crap? Over possibly more ugly powerfuller ones? For example : In S.T.A.L.K.E.R SOC I Always, Always have the L85. It looks, and sounds awesome. But, it jams all the time - And it's pretty weak...

So, anyone else do this? Or is it just me being a noob? XD

I choose guns exclusively based on how they are reloaded.

Revolver that the guy painstakingly rearms one bullet at a time? Never leaves my side.

Same with shotguns that they load shell after shell.

Ever since Perfect Dark I've been in love with slow reloading.
