I'm currently downloading Lord of The rings online off steam for my macbook at the moment (and I'm in my grans house with painfully slow internet so a little bit of me is dying every moment.) But I was just wondering, will the mac users be on the same servers as PC players? As my friend recommended I get it but he uses a PC. Are the Mac and PC players kept separate then or are we all in one happy mix?

I see absolutely no reason to be separated. None at all. I wouldn't know for absolute sure, though - I don't play LOTRO. If they were separate that would have been a mighty stupid thing to do - I don't think I've heard the LOTRO devs being referred to as drooling imbeciles, so I'm assuming they aren't - there is a pretty high chance you should be fine.

I hope you enjoy the game, I loved it for years but was a casualty of the f2p conversion. What server are you on?

How was it a casualty of the f2p conversion, if I may ask? Unless I'm mistaken, you can still play it like you used to, with a sub and buying the expansions n such.

I just meant I don't care much for how Turbine does business anymore. I think it's a great game and I'm glad people like it, I just don't like the hybrid model and voted with my wallet.

Do the characters in that game still walk kinda funny? I like the idea of a Lord of the Rings MMO and I've played the game in the past, both before and after it went free to play, but the animations have bothered me the whole way there. :<

Character models and animations are pretty much untouched, far as I remember. I believe Hobbits and Dwarves got theirs tweaked at some point since F2P launched, but that's it.

OT: Yup, Mac players and PC players are all in the same game.

Fair enough, I've noticed some things I don't like as much lately, but their supports been so good to me that I have a hard time not being loyal.

Really? Know if it was tweaked in any big way or just minor tweaks for the sake of it, to put it like that? Hobbits especially looked to stiff while walking I couldn't help but wonder if they had something lodged up their backside. :b

I hope you're not interested in PVP, since that "community" is one of the most antipvp-hostile communities I've ever been part of.
That is, if you like pvp, you're going to settle for being a secondclass citizen; despised by all the high-and-mighty, superior, pve-only players and developers alike.
