Lost game cd's, or dvd's

Right now I am looking for cd 3 to Serious Sam 2. Found the other 3 after some searching, all were in different places. Now I'm pretty much out of places to look, gonna start looking in the really abstract areas. Like in my closet, where I never place game related items, but I gotta look because there's a chance it's there.

Anyway, share your story of lost game cd's, DVDs.

EDIT: If anyone knows where I can get cd 3 of the internet, that would be great. Or if anyone has a virtual image of the cd, that would also be great.

Another EDIT: I have now given up, and have resorted to watching Family Guy. sigh.

I have discs 2-5 (or whatever it is) of COD2, but I can NOT FREAKING FIND DISC 1.

And I've lost most of my PS1 games and about a third of my PS2 games over the years

This is an exciting thread. =/

It's more of a way to vent frustration. Like How I clearly remembering picking it up last time I cleaned. Not I'm ready to just buy the damn game again.

Before file-sharing was a fully realized problem, I had downloaded gigs upon gigs of songs, software, games, etc. I moved out west a few years later, and my cd's were the only thing I left in my car. I didn't think anything would happen to them...long story short, my gigs upon gigs of ill-gotten goods were stolen. Karma really is a *****!

I lost so many games in the past Also the reason I tend buy newer games on steam, I do miss a shiny box though.

I once lost my special edition of Metal Gear Solid 2. I thought I accidentally threw it out. Then, painting my room, last year, (2 years after I lost it) we moved my dresser and found that it had been on the floor the whole time. It goes without saying that it no longer functioned. -.-

i've lost one of my favourite rts games. War of the Worlds. It was so epic. but now its gone ;-;
If anyone has a copy they want to give me that would be awesome

I never loose my CDs. You have to be really messy to do that. I did however lend a cd to a friend and he managed to loose it.
