Lost Planet 2 came out months ago for the PS3 and 360 (and PC this month) and got very mixed reviews, and was a bit over-looked by many of the community. And why it seems to so weird is because it really is a solid game.
Co-op is a blast, even with no co-op friends the single-player while granted it's harder is still enjoyable.
Multi-player is pretty balanced, it gives you a lot of game-modes, customization, many unlockables, bots if you unlock the mode.
The game was also colorful, had many great environments, good map designs, weapons that were fun to use. Instead of the constant fighting of humans, it let you fight monsters (or akrid) which many shooters don't have anymore. It is almost rare in shooters now to have monster enimies, while in games like Halo, sure the enimies weren't human, but they weren't monsters of course.
Sure it didn't really innovate anything, the story wasn't very good but at least it was long, and overall it was a solid game. Of course there was the problem of the controllers being a bit funny but they gave you many choices of controls in the retail and you could easily find one that fit you.
I wrote a review myself about the game on here: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/326.222728-Kortens-Review-Lost-Planet-2#7484324
So basicaly for disscussion value, did you play the game and like it? Also do you know of any other solid games that were very underrated.
