I was hoping I wasn't the only one looking forward to a new entry in this franchise.

Wait, what enemies would you be fighting? Aren't all the Acrid dead? And if the planet's been terraformed, it seems like it'll just be another generic third-person shooter. Don't get me wrong, I loved the first one, but it just doesn't make sense to make another one on the same planet, regardless of how lost it is.

sweet, the first one was great, but yea I'm a little concerned on how they are gonna pull this one off. Would have made more sense to make a prequel or something but here's hoping it's good. And it better come to the PC.

it can make sense. i mean. just becuase ALL the akrid that we knew of were dead, what about one all the way under the ground. or becuase of the terraform an evolution of akrid.

I don't see how the akrid would be dead anyways. They mainly lived under ground near hot spots, the planet could have been warm once and it suffered through an ice age. So the terraform could have simply given them means to live on the surface once again. Just wonder what they are gonna do for you survival this time. The first game you killed akrid for their precious goo to stay warm....what now?

I've been enjoying the first one so far considering I bought it a few days ago... I just hope it doesn't get tedious before the end...

What would you consider tedious. Some of the bosses can be outright annoying constantly knocking you down and stuff but for the most part it doesn't throw much annoying crap at you.

EDIT: oh and whatever you do....don't kill the giant worm, just RUN. well unless you want an achievement or a challenge in general. Just run from the bloody thing because it is a ***** to kill.

Remember the Volcano parts? The Akrid were alive next to a freakin' Volcano. And they were living in near heat spots underground. If anything there will be more of an Akrid problem since they can live on the surface now.

I don't give a damn about how they survived so long as I get to fight giant bugs in a giant robot suit. And do a followup on my studies of "Chainsaw on your stomach".

Let's see, I just finished the third mission... Whatever that damn worm thing was that kept killing my VS as I tried to simply drive across the field (taking a different route every time) was pretty damn annoying... Then I figured I might as well hoof it without the VS which worked fine... Idk, also I just keep yelling "FUCK OFF" at the annoying squiddy things that fly at you throughout the entire level... Not too hard to defeat (one-two shots), but still annoying... I'm sure I'll persevere though, cuz I like the game that much.

Lost Planet was a lesson in frustration for me. I don't think I've screamed at a television screen more in my life.
So all in all, I'm highly skeptical about the new one.

Didn't like the first one, but I await to see if this one improves on Capcom's old friend, the clunky control scheme.

Didn't it turn all Gundam Wing at the end?
eh...yea sorta. It was really weird and annoying but aside from the last fight the rest of the game played out fine.

Maybe, but if the planet can now support life, what dorment horrors might suddenly surface...
