He will be missed but his legacy will live on. That said, I had to school my girlfriend on who he was last night.
I think the shock of her not knowing Lou Reed was worse than hearing of his death.

A sad loss indeed but what legacy he leaves behind. Few can ever claim to have had their work make such an impact.
I didn't know his stuff very well. The only song of his I know well is Walk on the Wild which I think is a fantastic song and well ahead of its time.
Like I said I don't him or his music well, but I do know that he was great leader in the music scene and an important voice. It's sad to see him go.
