Loud games to annoy your neighbours with

A few months ago I had need to make a lot of noise in response to my temporary neighbour who himself was making a lot of noise (at 4AM, in a bed that wasn't exactly his). To do so, I chose to turn up the volume on my games machine, and start playing Bulletstorm, for the explosions and the swearing and the flavour of the swearing were surely things the make it known to him what a hassle having noisy neighbours at night is.

I hope that I don't have to do such a thing again, but what other games could be played with the great potential of being heard from the other side of wall when a noisy neighbour just needs a sound reflection of how their acting?

Well you could always walk on over there and have a chat about it..

..but where is the fun in that.

Open all your windows, crank the tv, throw in Rock Band and slam the shit out of the drums. No, I mean destroy those damn things. I suppose some sort of JRPG would have some rediculous/annoying-ass sounds that could drive any man insane. Arial combat in Battlefield can be awfully loud as well.

Good luck!

It depends how bassey your speakers are,

You could go for something like REZ HD or Wipeout with loud electronic music

Or Treble, gun effects, or even better Japanese anime childish voice like this game has http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQZuidKexBQ

Or emulate an old 8/16bit computer game with really bad music that's jarring and carries for miles (lots of western made games had janky music)

Or just put some pron on.

Unreal Tournament is pretty good. The guns, the explosions, the announcer. I've never maliciously used it (though I have had one or two complaints anyway), but I imagine if you really wanted to get in people's grill it'd be the way to go.

Well, there's one thing that can be used no matter what the situation is, you know.

Anyway, I generally go out of my way to avoid making as much noise as I can, so I won't be much help. :D

Most shooters can get pretty loud, though.

Der Riese on black ops. Nukes, Explosions, Yelling, Swearing, gun fire, Demonic announcer and the endless zombie screams.

Anything with an announcer I guess. I think spamming a load of BlazBlue matches would be hilarious considering how downright broken the announcer's pronunciation of everything ever is.

"The Whale of Fate is Toirning. Rebel 1. ACTION!"

How about Blood Dragon? 80's synthesizers and cheesy one-liners forever.

He wants to annoy people, not pump them into a frenzy. Think man, think!

One of the most annoying sounds in the world is the sound of a baby crying. Find a loud clip of that, insert ear plugs, and crank that shit to eleven. It's hard to find a long clip though. They're usually only a few seconds long, so you'd have to loop it.

Nails on a chalkboard works also.

Edit: Hit post instead of Preview -_-

For games, most shooters are nice and loud. Anything with jarring sounds would be nice and annoying. A game with zombies works extra good because of all the screaming. Oh! Dead Rising. Grab a chainsaw and start chopping up zombies. The sound of the chainsaw coupled with the screams of the zombies would be perfect!

That's the beauty of Guile's Theme though.

It goes with everything.

Everything.

If it really doesn't work (I don't see how it wouldn't, myself, since it solves all problems), then at least he can use it for montage music as he gets his master plan ready to set into motion.

God of War tends to be extremely loud.

It's kind of hard to focus when all you here is a gruff man's voice yelling and growling on the other side of the wall from you while ear-splitting Latin chanting is in the background.

Oh Oh! Or maybe, he starts out with Guile's theme, gets everyone all pumped up, then cuts to the blaring cacophony! It'd be all the more jarring! :D

By neighbor do you mean living in a different room as a flat mate? Or in an apartment next to yours or something?

Second, talk to the person, if he does it again, then play something with heavy bass. That shit you can feel, even if you block the sound out.

I always got really annoyed by the AWP sound in CS 1.6. So you can guess how I felt when my brother was playing an AWP map, and I tried to get some rest. That, and drums...friggin' drums! It can be real ones or the toy ones from rock band/guitar hero. But that constant noise can really annoy the shit out of people.

Borderlands 2 not only fills the role of explosions, guns, and screaming, but also has the added benefit of loud, strained grunts from your character whenever you use a melee attack!

A quality choice.

I think there is a dream sequence or two in the first Max Payne where you can hear the persistent crying/screaming of Max's murdered family. Only snag is that they're 3d platforming sections, and they may annoy him more than his neighbour.

Yep Unreal Tournament 2004 for sure. You can entertain your neighbors with the announcer screaming "HEADSHOT!!!" and "M, M, M, MONSTER KILL!!!! Alongside the ridiculous weapon effects and guitar/electronic soundtrack.

Battlefield 3 is another good choice.

Tuning the noise up is the best thing to do, you'll also annoy other neighbors in the process. But if that's what you really want:

Something very noisy:

Something very repetitive as sound goes (these can be the most annoying):

I don't have the balls to annoy my neighbors with loud games. Mainly because I live in a neighborhood or old, retired folks. Lucky me.

But if I ever move somewhere that has no people or houses within a miles radius, I'm so getting a surround sound system so I can blast the shit out of this song.

The percussion is just so powerful. The guitars are perfect sounding, too.

Rocksmith. Not only are you able to make a shit ton of noise if you play the guitar loud enough, but you can choose how you want to do it (i.e. playing The Cure with a death metal amp setup).

I once had a neighbor knock on my door because of rockband. We weren't trying to annoy anyone, we just didn't realize it got late.
The ironic thing was that she had some sort of church choir that would practice in her apartment. They were really awful. Their best singer was easily 10x worse than our worst singer.
