No, there is no love at first sight. Then again I find the ability for two people to fall in love with each other as absurd. There is no way. I don't believe in love.
Someone needs a hug.

But no, a proper sense of love takes time.

Ofcourse it can freaking happen, what a stupid question! It just depends how you interperit it, to be perfectly honest people who experiance it call it love at first sight, onlookers who don't understand simply call it lust - there IS a difference
Welcome to the Escapist :)
I agree, lust and the phenomenon described as love at first sight are completly different things.

You don't believe in love at all? Can you not imagine ever feeling so strongly about someone you would give anything for them and feel pain in their absence?
Isn't love in Barslow triangle of need?
Isn't it "Maslow's hierarchy"? Yes love/belonging is there, right in the middle.

One thing that easily undermines the whole 'love at first sight' things is blind people.

How on earth are blind people supposed to experience this 'life changing moment'?

There is a reason why it's called "boyfriend/girlfriend". First it's a friend. Then there's love.

Lust lust lust at first sight.
Like, person A would very much like to sexually be with person B.
Love may come later. Or it may not. Depends on the person and the people I suppose.

Catching eyes with someone by chance is never a 'love' situation. Like has been said, love takes time.

Well for blind people it's obviously love at first sound or feel! (Although that last one could lead to awkward situations) Also, thanks for the warm welcome SmilingKitsune

I believe the only way to define love at first sight would be to say it's in the mind, I think you can kinda tell what a person is generally like from looking at them, without knowing the specifics, sometimes looks can be decieving, but love at first sight is really just a way of interpreting ones physical feelings for another. Almost like a guise for the truth of the matter, that you've fallen for their looks.

Love is weird thing.

This day and age love is almost nonexistant, sure your parents may love each other but thats only if they didn't get married because your mom got knocked up. Also your parents may or not love you for reasons beyond my comprehension, honestly I really dont want to know how that process works with the human race being nothing but sentient parasites anyways. (Yes its true a fetus is a parasite, therefore you are to.) I've abandoned the possibility for love to exist in anyone who is currently under about 30. Its all obseassion and sexual attraction now, which means, sure you think you love him/her but actually you are afraid they will leave you and you want to bang that person untill your genitals go numb in an ill-concieved attempt to solidify their presance in your life.(It isn't always this way but thats exactly how every person I've met who is under 30 feels about their bf/gf. In short no its not possible and I reject the opinion of any who think it is.

This has been rantings of some bored guy tune in the next time that I am bored.

Something as complex as love is difficult to explain unless you feel it, love at first sight is therefore one of those things you just have to feel, obviously it isn't something that occurs everyday - it's a rare thing and once you've felt it you know what it is instantly

It's just lust at first sight, and they are too stupid to realize the difference.

Love at first sight is an emotional condition whereby a person feels romantic attraction for a stranger on the first encounter with the stranger. The term may be used to refer to a mere sexual attraction or crush, but it usually refers to actually falling in love with someone literally the very first time one sees him or her, along with the deep desire to have an intimate relationship with that person. The stranger may or may not be aware that the other person has any such notion, and may not even be aware of the other person's presence (such as in a crowded place). Sometimes two people experience this phenomenon towards each other at the same time, usually when their eyes meet. See also love.

BANG... right on the money, love isnt something that just comes its a mixture of sustaining a long and meaningful relationship, aswell as having fun as much as possible with the significant other.

Nope, not at all.
