This is a thread for you to list the things in video games that bother you, even though you like the game.

Not glitches or the like, but actual elements of the genre.

I love fighting games, 2D and 3D alike, but I really hate blocking.
I hate that my enemy just stands there blocking or I pull off a big move and all they need to do is block and it does nothing.
It's even worse in games like Naruto, where when you block you can teleport behind your enemy.
On Naruto Ultimate Ninja Heroes, the Insane Mode is just the AI constantly using Substitution Jutsu... eventually it becomes us teleporting all over the place, waiting for someone to screw up.

I also dislike when the team system, where they hit a button and a random teamate smashes you.

So what things in your favourite genre of game do you dislike?

The blocking is a good one. I still remember many frustrating rounds of Soul Calibur 3 with the computer's damned perfect guard.

I hate how western RPGs will always have a wonderful and vast world filled with plenty of rich lore and interesting characters, but then look like death warmed over with a terrible combat system. Honestly guys, why can no one make combat enjoyable in a western RPG?

Battlefield games have so much I love about them, but also so many things I hate. Just as an example in Bad Company 2, I love how they manage a huge battlefield but keep the action going constantly. However, I hate how their UI hasn't fixed most of its bugs and there are a lot of clicks between starting the game and joining a server.

I love Turn Based strategy games.
I hate with a burning passion however, Peasant/Zerg/Whatevertheweakestunitis rushes.
I can't say I havn't used them once or twice myself, but I find a victory won by building up a mighty empire and crushing ones enemies under-foot of your mighty army to be much more satisfying.
EDIT: Almost forgot! To many QTE's in any type of game.

Please I don't want anyone to take this the wrong way or take it personally.

I hate Japanese culture but I love JRPGs. I know it sounds impossible, but it can be done lol
