There's no denying that we gamers and forum-goers are a bunch of hate-mongering bile-spewing vestibules of rage. For instance, when we find a game that we find we like, we react to this by declaring every other game of its kind a pile of shit and go to war with fans of that game.
This has lead to many memorable rivalries over the years, such as World of Warcraft Vs. Guild Wars (and lately every single MMO ever to be released), InFamous vs. Prototype, and all manner of seething, internet-born hatreds.
But have you ever loved two games when fanboy culture dictates that you must hate one of them with every vein in your body?
Personally I love both Half Life 2 and Halo 3, two games whose fans seem to spend most of their time at each other's throats.
So, escapists, tell me your stories of Forbidden Love!
And no flaming please, this is a thread about doing away with flamewars and hugging each other in a big manly display of brotherly love (that includes the women too).
