My friend recently bought this game. I didn't think I would enjoy it as I thought it was at first just another Activision game cashing in on the Guitar Hero name. A few hours later, I found myself completely amazed. While it's not the best game ever, I've really enjoyed it. I like that the turn tables afford the player more freedom in the song than the guitar did.

There's also the nice benefit of being able to cue up songs or allow auto play if you just want to listen to the remixes. And they're awesome.

This is the song that greets you at the main menu.

So, for the sake of conversation, have you played this game? Did you enjoy it? What was your favorite remix?

I was at a party where someone brought that over and everyone who tired it (including myself) sucked at it. My friend (also the host) broke out Rock Band 3 and we had a much better time. Although I never understood why they would have a hip-hop song go against a rock song, it seems out of place.

The hardest thing for me was getting used to scratching with the blue key and controlling the switch between tracks. I always accidentally moved it too far one direction or knocked it. I fixed my scratching issue by adjusting the record so it was at a higher angle as the blue taps were coming up.

They mix a lot of genres into it. There's one mixed with Metallica and another with Beethoven. In other games, Speed Over Beethoven sounded awesome as a dance song in DDR.

Ah, and I guess the creators and publishers of DJ Hero felt that there was a profitable market for that crowd?

I'm not really sure about that. It's possible. I think it was more the people mixing the records just felt they added to the song. There are a lot of songs mixed in.

I quite like Around the World Vs. Bust Move and We Will Rock You Vs. Robot Rock.

I bought the original for Daft Punk and Gorillaz, the game didn't fail to deliver.
