Come on, I'm sure there is someone in your family that you just can't stand. For me it's my cousin in law school. She thinks she knows everything, which is all the more fun when I show her up at family parties.

So are you talking about someone that you are forced to spend time with but you hate them?

If so, I can't think of anyone like that. There are people that I hate, but I don't have to see them very often.

I don't really hate anyone. I mean I get angry and disgusted with some people when I cannot just ignore them. Otherwise why bother with the hate? They either are worth caring about, or deserve to be ignored.

If you hate someone you probably technically don't love them.

And here I thought just maybe there was going to be a thread on trying to love someone you hate, rather then let hate build.
But no, it's just another thread.

On topic: I don't hate people. It's a waste of time and energy.

Well there's my aunt. I don't hate her, I mean she's family, you can't hate family; but I really don't enjoy her company. She can get really loud, obnoxious, and annoying.

No.

Its just incredibly gay.

Just kidding.

Or am I?

Nah I am.

Right,

OT: Probably my aunt. She made us stop watching Ironman because it was "To bad" for her 13 year old son. (It was at the part where the Middle eastern fat guy was ravaging the village and Iron man saves the day. She was like "What is this! I'm shutting this off, and I wan't everyone to go to their rooms!" Even her husband.

I laughed as I was walking into the basement (My "Room" while I was staying there)

You know that would be an interesting thread. To bad I probably wouldn't have anything to contribute to it, so I can't make it.

Someone else could though.

There's no reason we can't make it like that, eh?

Now I have my problems with my roommate. One might call me a 'wet blanket' in the same way people might say I 'hate' my roommate. He makes a mess, he eats at a volume level worthy of outdoing your average rock gig's volume, he walks around in a little less clothing than is comfortable, I can't understand a word he says from all his mumbling and he bothers me while I'm working. Now, these are all things that annoy me. Not a huge amount, but enough so that in conjunction I often have wishes that I had chosen another person to live with. Here's the deal though, this guy is still one of my best friends and almost every quality I 'hate' about him I also love. He's a great guy, and I'm extremely glad he's a part of my life.

How's that Tea, positive enough? Now you go...

My aunt and uncle and cousins, who for some reason decided to eschew modern life, despite my aunt and uncle both being raised normally, and raise their kids on a "farm" like the Little House on the Prairie. I'm not angry at the lifestyle, I'm just angry at the fact that since they were so isolated while growing up they are very bad with social skills, I feel like they are perpetually 11 years old and it irritates the god dang tar out of me.

My entire mother's side of the family grew up on farms and in the country. Sure, it leads to some colorful language and some non-PC behavior sometimes, but I think that saying you 'hate' someone because they grew up rurally is a little harsh. I also think its extremely closed-minded. We need people to live on farms. Otherwise agriculture fails as an industry. The fact that your uncle decided to do that is just as important as someone getting a job in the city, some people just like to live differently.

Also: 'modern life'? Bullshit to that.

Farm was in quotes because it wasn't really a farm it was 5 acres of desolate land with a tiny little house that had a kitchen and a living room, and he has 5 kids. He has a normal job, works for the govt. in Sacramento, CA.

I do understand the importance of farms, and modern life yes is ridiculous, but this almost seems like borderline psychological abuse. I don't hate my cousins, I try my hardest to be friends with them and nice to them, but I can't help but hate my uncle and aunt for raising my cousins in a very terrible way. Plus my uncle is a huge blow hard.
