You know that would be an interesting thread. To bad I probably wouldn't have anything to contribute to it, so I can't make it.Baby Tea said:And here I thought just maybe there was going to be a thread on trying to love someone you hate, rather then let hate build.
But no, it's just another thread.
On topic: I don't hate people. It's a waste of time and energy.
There's no reason we can't make it like that, eh?Baby Tea said:And here I thought just maybe there was going to be a thread on trying to love someone you hate, rather then let hate build.

My entire mother's side of the family grew up on farms and in the country. Sure, it leads to some colorful language and some non-PC behavior sometimes, but I think that saying you 'hate' someone because they grew up rurally is a little harsh. I also think its extremely closed-minded. We need people to live on farms. Otherwise agriculture fails as an industry. The fact that your uncle decided to do that is just as important as someone getting a job in the city, some people just like to live differently.whycantibelinus said:My aunt and uncle and cousins, who for some reason decided to eschew modern life, despite my aunt and uncle both being raised normally, and raise their kids on a "farm" like the Little House on the Prairie. I'm not angry at the lifestyle, I'm just angry at the fact that since they were so isolated while growing up they are very bad with social skills, I feel like they are perpetually 11 years old and it irritates the god dang tar out of me.
Farm was in quotes because it wasn't really a farm it was 5 acres of desolate land with a tiny little house that had a kitchen and a living room, and he has 5 kids. He has a normal job, works for the govt. in Sacramento, CA.Fightgarr said:My entire mother's side of the family grew up on farms and in the country. Also: 'modern life'? Bullshit to that.
