Then they made twilight Princess as a sort of spiritual sequel to OoT, and people who don't even play the series and critics bitched. They were damned from the start.
That's your opinion, the facts tell a slightly different story.

Twilight Princess was the most successful Zelda since Ocarina of Time, it's sold more than double the number of copies that Wind Waker shifted.

The fact is Majora's Mask didn't sell well enough, Wind Waker wasn't much further ahead and Twilight Princess was a strong success. Critics gave all three glowing reviews, all the home console Zeldas are well into the 90's on Metacritic.

Name me a main franchise Nintendo game that doesn't still have the same plot as the first game.

Spoiler your going to go around collect new and useful items solve puzzles ride a horse and save the princesses ass again, and that's why we love it
then why was Majora's mask one of the best? (i think) it was what made zelda great + interesting story.

Really? I thought it was one of the worst.

Fair enough, the plot is different, but the entire thing is an almost blatant copy of Hyrule (as in NCPs and such). And please don't give me the alternate world crap. To me it was disappointing.

On topic; a new LoZ game? Nice. But

if the princess gets kidnapped again im going to throw a shit fit.
I agree I disliked Majoras Mask and i've loved every other zelda game ive played. its major downfall to me personally is that its an adventure(/rpg whatever) game that has a time limit... what the hell! i want to be able to take my time and enjoy the game, the characters, scenery, adventure etc, i dont want to have to be running around and worrying about time limits or having to redo stuff when i screw this up. the rest of the game i liked but that totally ruined it for me... and waiting for one guy to pass on the whateverth day just to get a hat

I'm aware of the facts to be honest. Majora's Mask sold around 3 million, and Wind Waker sold around a mil and a half more. This wasn't a case of sales, but I was saying that Twilight Princess was the only Zelda game where (any) critics and non fans bitched (Jeff Gertsmann being one, and there were others), both of them talking about how the franchise hasn't moved far enough from it's roots, yet the fans loved it and lapped it up.

And in the last generation they did something pretty radically different in comparison to OoT and none of the critics or the non fans had anything negative to say, but fans bitched and it only made about 4 and a half million sales.

So in that respect, from the perspective of consumers and critics, they're damned if they do, and damned if they don't.

Well Twilight princess wasn't bad. Diffently put a new twist on the game. I am excited that they are making a new one but my expectations are not going to be too high. I learned a lesson from that. Cause whenever they are the game will sometimes suck.

That's not a plot. That's part scenario and part gameplay mechanics.
