Lucas Re-Releasing Star Wars Movies in 3D

You know they're releasing the prequels FIRST, right? And 3D is a totally pointless fad which most films don't benefit from at all.

Also the original trilogy will be released as the already-updated versions in 3D, so it's a rerererelease of the same 3 films. I hate the world now.

I'm disappointed. Not with the fact that Mr. Lucas and Fox are trying to make money; it was inevitable that they'd try this gimmick(I'm not spending $14 to see a movie I already own, sorry Marketing). No, I was disappointed after scrolling through all 8 pages for a Darth Vader noooooooooooooo, video to quote only to find that none were linked.

You know, while I don't like the tweaking that was done to the OT, and I might find TPM kind of boring, and I'm not real big on 3D...YAY, STAR WARS IS GONNA BE IN THEATERS AGAIN!

Heh..I'm a big fan of the original movies (the EU can go screw itself...well, most of it.) and I can't wait to see them in theaters again. I don't know how the 3D is gonna work but the chance to see the movies in a theater again around a ton of Star Wars nerds, or watching the creation of new Star Wars nerds, is gonna be a ton of fun for me!

...especially since my theater only charges five bucks .

Ugh, what's with this 3D fad that's going on? Oooh, it looks like things are jumping out at you~! What am I, five? I mean if I was five, sure, that would seem pretty cool to me, so for kid movies it works. But I'm twenty. Unless it adds to the movie somehow, I don't need stuff popping out at me. I do not care.

Also, I already wear glasses to see, so putting another over them to see in "3D!" is kind of annoying.

I'd love to see 4-6 in theaters, but the 3D is actually turning me off. Give me a non-3D option, Lucas, and you can have my money, you fat cat.

None of them were actually filmed in 3D, right? So it's going to be fake 3D, and probably look terrible? No thanks.

I just might go and see episodes 4 through 6, though, since I foolishly didn't catch those on the big screen when I had the chance in 1997.

Yup. It's all going to be "upgraded" to 3-D. So why?

I have to agree, the spectacle has me excited, would love to see the battles in 3D, would be mind blowing, and someone did say it would be difficult to do if the movie was not shot originally in 3D cameras so I don't know how they are going to do it, if its true George Lucas will do 3 more star wars movies happening after Return of the Jedi, those can be shot in 3D no problem,

Sooo Anyway I guess well see, I'll sit through the shite as I don't mind either, it's passe by now that Lucas is never happy with his vision of star wars, cant wait to see Empire strikes back and the return of the Jedi Space battle above Endor in 3D, OMG that will look fucking Incredible!

Exactly my point.

There is good and very, very evil in tinkering with something.
For example, I loved and still love Final Fantasy 7 to bits, but would it really be super awesome as a PS3 remake? I still like to play the original just fine.

Wasn't that happy with the FF7 movie either! The visuals where stunning, but the script was QQ imho...
