I usually don't have a whole lot of random luck, but there is one case in which I definitely did.
So, what are some random encounters of awesome luck that ya'll have experienced?

And, as far as I can tell, I guess it was pretty lucky that I got a studio recording of My London that day. I can't find a studio version of that song anywhere else.
I was walking around Austin with my dad and one of my friends and we got to a small but fairly well known place called Guerros with an outdoor stage where some bands were playing. None of them were too bad, and we had just escaped from a show at which two people were rapping over the electric oboe so we stopped to listen. After the first band went off, Missing Andy came on and announced that it was there first time playing in the United States. Their hour long set had been cut about 20 minutes short, but they made up for it with the sheer force of their show, and some of their stuff was in a styles I'd never even heard before. To this day they're definitely one of my favorite bands and, had we not randomly showed up at that bar just before the band before them finished their set, I definitely wouldn't have heard of them. I've heard they have some amount of popularity in Britain, but they're an absolutely unknown band here. I'm really lucky to have seen them play, and feel a bit of pride at having seen their first U.S. show.
