Finally. I hope Anon joins in on this. Moral of this story: just because you can, doesn't mean it's funny.
Why? Anon joined with lulzsec.

anyawy, pretty cool, I suppose. least the world gov isnt getting in on this.
If Anon joined with LulzSec than Team Poison is going to have a major lashback from Anonymous if they release those names and pictures.
But isen't the point of Anon that they are not one organized group?

Therefore they cannot "join" or "support" ONE group or faction as Anonymous.

You do know that a group that publically announces everything they do would probably say that they hacked the PS3.Someone did it to steal credit cards, not for the lulz.
No, I do not know that because it's not true.

Seeing how they publicly announce almost everything they do (including hacking the PS3) before hand, I think it's safe to assume that they are the actual hackers that did actually steal the credit card information.

They did it because they can. Which is pretty much what they mean by "lulz".

Anything else unintelligent you want to say?
There was no pre-announcement of Lulzsec hacking PS3 whatsoever. There was a post announcement by Sony that Anonymous did the hacking which I also have problems believing knowing Anon's previous history.Lulzsec steals data but not money,it's just how they roll.Any other unintelligent and unchecked things you want to mention.I think we understood you're all anti-hacker from this thread alone. There's no need to further reinforce your points unless you're going out of your way to show how stupid and silly you are.

Good day to ye,good sir!
Did I ever say they hacked it?

You haven't proven anything as of yet. I never said they took it down themselves. Sony took down the PS3 too make sure their security measures were intact, because of the breach done by Lulzsec, hence, it was Lulzsec fault that it was taken down. We do not know if anyone from Lulzsec used the money because we do not yet know who the members are.

And of course I'm anti hacker. Why would I be for random people breaking into my private information? Do you think these kids are Neo or something?

Seriously, get your priorities straight. Also, make sure you fully understand what someone says before trying to make them look like an idiot. It very much backfired in your case.

To be fair I got a bit annoyed that LulSec attacked us since, and I think this is the reason, we expressed our free speech and disagreed with them as a community. Free internet hey?

Good, I hope they make an example of these little shits, and I bet, EVERY ONE of them will attempt the same BS defense as Ryan Cleary with the "mental troubled" thing. Sorry but that shit shouldn't fly in the case of people like this, they knew from day 1 what they were doing, they knew what damage it would cause, they knew it was illegal and what the risks were.

They played with fire and they should not be above getting burned.

For some reason I cant help but want to make a 'Team Rocket' styled introduction for them, but I don't know the first thing about hacking to actually make one that sounds right. XD

They won't, they are proper hackers. Something the internet doesn't understand the meaning of anymore. Lulzsec are Phreakers not Hackers. They damage systems and definately DO leave traces they were there. They don't fit the classic definition of hacker in any way.

I've yet to have a hacker break into my information.Funny how this works when I'm not a hacker myself.

Also let's review your comments:I've carefully marked in bold the portions you could review.I also never said they themselves took the PS3 down.To my knowledge there were no announced attacks on the PS3 by Lulzsec. There were such from Anons because they wanted to expose Sony for the meanspiritted corporation they are but stopped because "it was harming the users".Also these kids aren't Neo,I'm well aware of that. For all I know they could be royal douches. But anyone who fights against censorship, exposing bad internet security that people pay for and the basic rights we as internet consumers should have is ok in my book.

You are trying to make me look like an idiot. And failing because you don't even read what I say.You just skim and foam a bit before interpreting it yourself - however it pleases you.

I'm pretty ok with people messing with the CIA. There's plenty of shit done with my money, in my name, that I would rather not have done. Also, the CIA managed to create half the reason a lot of countries hate the U.S. and I'd rather that not happen again.

That being said, kick some ass Team Poison. We got no place for those douches who DDoS'd the Escapist. Most of the reason we've been having slow downs and errors is due to them.
Yeah the CIA has no defense.

Otherwise I think that we could have benefited from Lulzsec.

Had they made it a stigma to sign up for games because of security issues we might have seen less unnecessary signup stuff for games.

Would have been great.

I'll actually give you that one seeing how I was meaning the Playstation network. Hacking into the PS3 seems to be much easier. I have read everything that you said. I just didn't remember everything that I said. Luckily for me, that wasn't the main issue here.

And just because it hasn't happened to you, doesn't mean that it won't happen to you. I've never had anyone hack into my accounts, that doesn't mean I assume it's not a bad thing. It's someone trying to steal your personal information. Why the fuck would I idolize these idiots?

Let's also look into how they've "exposed bad internet security". They leaked thousands of people's credit card information on the web, for people to do whatever with. I don't know about you, but I did not see one thing on the news about the PS3 being down, let alone credit cards being leaked. The only way someone would have found out about this is if they were on a well informed website like this.

The message left by Sony on the PS3 homepage did not say anything about the Credit cards being leaked. That's how your idols "expose the Evil corporations". By attacking the Customers.

Also, look through their twitter feed. They mention multiple times how they are "preparing a surprise for Sony".
http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/110484-Hacker-Group-Promises-Doom-for-Sony

http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/110688-LulzSec-Nabs-Source-Code-for-Sony-Dev-Site

There's no doubt that they've done good, but it's all been through accident. The "censorship" they are fighting is only going to end up putting stricter enforcement on the internet, something the people don't want to happen.

Make no mistake, they aren't fighting for anyone's rights. They are doing this because they found out how to do a Ddos attack. They're doing this because they can. They even said so themselves.

Yet you're making them out to be some kind of internet vigilantes.

I already mentioned the PS3.You attribute every hacker's activity, credit card theft etc to Lulzsec. You aren't even sure what you're talking about since you think Anonymous and Lulzsec are apparently all hackers.

I'll agree that Lulzsec aren't particularly good people. But they're funny.I don't think they're internet vigilantes I think they're the lulzboat.Anonymous on the other hand are such and if you took the time to read a bit about them and their activities you'd understand.

I'm pretty much done.I won't even agree to disagree because you're being a zealot. My life for Aiur and all that bs.

1. people need food, water, energy, etc.

2. sharing all resources and knowledge allows maximum cooperative efficiency

3. creating an abundance of all our needs makes money, gov, crime obsolete
Increasingly limited natural resources can, and will, piss on your planning there.
I suggest reading about the concept of "The Tragedy of the Commons", before even trying to argue about it.

4. automating the production distribution, frees up humanity to no longer be wage slaves to governments or corporations

These four points would be recognized by direct democracy that is connected by the internet; 99% of the world's problems would quickly evaporate.
Except none of them would work without virtually unlimited resources, or a smaller population (which introduces its own problems along with the benefits). Either way, your idealistic world cannot exist.

How can you support people like this?
We all have our different opinions. Without that we wouldn`t have democracy. My opinion is different from others yes, but i have my reasons as you have yours.

i dont see a problem with lulzsec so i cant really get worked up about it, the stuff lulzsec does isnt really that bad, so i dont see the problem, i think people are honestly making a mountain out of a molehill, hey companies, if you dont want to get hacked so easily then you should probably beef up your security.
