good, good. i wish them the best of luck, and anyone who joins in and gets caught has my deepest sympathies. I wish there was something i could do to help, but i'm simply not a hacker by any stretch of the word.
Wait - you support the people who might bring the end of the internet as we know it and then lead into a new internet with HEAVY restrictions?
yes. i advocate chaos.
HERETIC! May His most holy Inquisition smite your thrice-damned soul for such blasphemy!

In all seriousness, care to extrapolate why you advocate such a thing other than just trying to be nonconformist?

Also, This latest announcement seems jarringly out of character. I thought LulzSec only did things "for the lulz" (hence their name). Perhaps they're desperately trying to gain some shred of legitimacy out of this (they're way too late if they are).

how the hell did they get Anonymous involved with this?
also what have the governments done to piss them off?
I get DDOSing game related websites is still lulzy but what good is it going to do to fry government sites?

It seems that fucking with a few half asleep corporations has gotten them pretty bold. I hope they have fun getting fucked over by people who actually give two shits about their security and back it up using men with guns.

"As we're aware, the government and whitehat security terrorists across the world continue to dominate and control our Internet ocean"

Isn't this exactly what Lulzsec has been doing these past months? Terrorizing and dominating control over the internet?

I'm all for de-regulation of the internet, but something's gotta be done about these guys.
If they want to free the Internet from control. Aren't they trying to enforce control here?
Like attacking institutions that controls information about, let's say patient information in hospitals - something that no one wants to expose without limitations - by taking them down they are regulating what kind of information can be stored in digital form.

Some things are meant to be secrets!!! I am just waiting for one of these fools to expose a security hole in their respective country's defense grid and they get attacked by real terrorist. If they are so anti-secret I would kindly ask all of them to email me their Bank accounts and pin-codes... No? Well that is what they are doing if they go and target banks. I hope they go for banks and get their money and detail stolen in the progress... See how it feels to be attacked instead of being the attacker.

Something must be done to these guys, I don't care is it bullet to the head or prison without Internet. Internet is not their private playground, they are trying to be the master of Internet and the same time they want to remove all masters from controlling Internet, they make no fucking sense!
Also, there is a reason most government Data is stored in Off-line servers or in paperback form...

Also, at the worst case if the "freedom fighters" go and mess things really bad we might see who countries being disconnected from Internet. These guys might go and poke the wrong hole and destroy the freedom they so want to have.

"Top priority is to steal and leak any classified government information, including email spools and documentation. Prime targets are banks and other high-ranking establishments"

Fucking douchebags. They're not doing any good by leaking Government documents.

LulzSec gets points for standing for something instead of just being a bunch of bullying douchebags. They're going about it wrong and I don't think anything good can come of this, but I'm at least glad they're trying to accomplish something now. That's what's always made them more dangerous than Anonymous; they have no ideals, no noble goals, only a desire to watch the world burn and laugh at it. But to be honest, I doubt this will be much of an improvement.
What exactly do you think they're standing for? Isn't trying to spread anarchy pretty much the opposite of standing for something, by standing for nothing?
It seems like they're taking a stand for the freedom of information on the internet. It's more complex than the "everyone should have access to everything" stance they take, of course; I'm not at all saying I agree with their actions or even the extent of their stance, but at least it's a stance. I'd rather be dealing with a powerful internet group that has a goal, whatever it may be, than one that just screws stuff up for the lulz.
People who believe in the freedom of information do not attack people for saying things they don't agree with. They don't stand for anything but their own petty whims.

I don't really care much about national secrets, and you must remember that Lulzsec is not an organization pertaining to one nationality or the other. The only thing we know is that they speak good enough English. I highly doubt they're all from one country.

Though you are right about the whole pin-codes thing. They are very much hypocrites. They're fighting fire with fire.

If they succeed, they very well may be walking the Internet up to the gallows.

Something wicked this way comes.

Lulzsec raising "awareness" for the importance of Net security by Hacking sites, is LITERALLY the online analogy for Extortionists offering "safety" to Shops in case "something bad happens" to them.

In other words, Lulzsec: "That's a very nice internet you have there. It'd be a shame if something were to....happen to it."

Seriously am I the only one seeing that? Lulzsec are just internet extortionists....who don't demand pay...... because they are bad at their job, apparently.

Man for people that are "in it for the lulz" LulzSec sure do like silly overdramatic speeches. "History begins today"? Please. Every time they make a public statement it's like they are they imagine themselves as a digital version of Robin Hood or something.

Is it just me, or am I the only one unable to connect to Minecraft.net and imageshack?

I hope it doesn't have to do with any of this.

You know, I have no problem with them using and thereby motivating people to close gaping security holes. I however do not like their arrogance and attitude.

Never thought I'd say this: Please Anon, go and teach these Lulzfools a lesson.

Yeah, the OP is right, no good could ever possibly come of this. I just fail to see how revealing classified government information is helping anyone. I just want this to end, and quick.

Ya know, the internet as we know it is already a pretty unrestricted place as we know it.

Attacking websites like this won't make it better, just worst.

Also, it sounds like they have some daddy issues with Anonymous. Guess what Lulzsec? You're kinda doing the thing they hate.
