If they want to free the Internet from control. Aren't they trying to enforce control here?zehydra said:"As we're aware, the government and whitehat security terrorists across the world continue to dominate and control our Internet ocean"
Isn't this exactly what Lulzsec has been doing these past months? Terrorizing and dominating control over the internet?
I'm all for de-regulation of the internet, but something's gotta be done about these guys.
People who believe in the freedom of information do not attack people for saying things they don't agree with. They don't stand for anything but their own petty whims.Thaius said:It seems like they're taking a stand for the freedom of information on the internet. It's more complex than the "everyone should have access to everything" stance they take, of course; I'm not at all saying I agree with their actions or even the extent of their stance, but at least it's a stance. I'd rather be dealing with a powerful internet group that has a goal, whatever it may be, than one that just screws stuff up for the lulz.mduncan50 said:What exactly do you think they're standing for? Isn't trying to spread anarchy pretty much the opposite of standing for something, by standing for nothing?Thaius said:LulzSec gets points for standing for something instead of just being a bunch of bullying douchebags. They're going about it wrong and I don't think anything good can come of this, but I'm at least glad they're trying to accomplish something now. That's what's always made them more dangerous than Anonymous; they have no ideals, no noble goals, only a desire to watch the world burn and laugh at it. But to be honest, I doubt this will be much of an improvement.
I don't really care much about national secrets, and you must remember that Lulzsec is not an organization pertaining to one nationality or the other. The only thing we know is that they speak good enough English. I highly doubt they're all from one country.SinisterGehe said:If they want to free the Internet from control. Like attacking institutions that controls information about, let's say patient information in hospitals - something that no one wants to expose without limitations - by taking them down they are regulating what kind of information can be stored in digital form.
Some things are meant to be secrets!!! I am just waiting for one of these fools to expose a security hole in their respective country's defense grid and they get attacked by real terrorist. If they are so anti-secret I would kindly ask all of them to email me their Bank accounts and pin-codes... No? Well that is what they are doing if they go and target banks. I hope they go for banks and get their money and detail stolen in the progress... See how it feels to be attacked instead of being the attacker.
Interestingly enough, wasn't anon recently announcing that they would want to work against LulzSec? To be honest, I think it's easy to get that "Anonymous actually works with us" endorsement, seeing that Anon is pretty much leaderless. So here's hoping that some parts of Anonymous have not changed their mind about beating Lulz.Tdc2182 said:Also, it sounds like they have some daddy issues with Anonymous. Guess what Lulzsec? You're kinda doing the thing they hate.
God save the Web Ninjas!Low Key said:Apparently Lulzsec has already been doxed, or for those of you outside of the 4chan loop, they have been identified. Screen names, accounts on various sites (just names, no passwords), and pictures have been posted. Whether or not it's actually them remains to be seen.
