I lurked for a few weeks. The exact time eludes me.

I lurked for well over a year before I made my account. Well, it wasn't exactly lurking, just nosing in on the forums now and again to see what the general psyche was on here, as well as reading the articles and watching ZP, which is to this day the only video series I have consistently watched.

I didn't see the point in it, but eventually i decided to make an account and im glad i decided too

Besides lurking makes you feel Hardcore,your like a Ninja, noone knew you were even there.

I can't remember. Looking back at all the fun I've had over the (nearly a whole) last year, I can't think of a single reason I would have delayed.

I agree with this. The intellectual level here can be pretty daunting for someone new. Many people maybe don't have that problem, but I certainly did.

I didn't lurk at first, and instead I jumped head-first into the conversations. I guess it ended well! But lately, all I do is lurk, with an occasional post. Like this one!

I feel privileged! Kind of the opposite to me. This is quite a sudden jump for me. Im quite proud of myself, actually!

I have been called out for being a lurker several time because apparently I am obligated to have a high post count because I have been here so long. I joined the escapist about a month after I discovered the site and really enjoyed reading the weekly posts from the staff.
