Warning: Annoying teen issues that probably belong on facebook. Reader discretion is advised

So there's a guy in my shop (class, whatever, its a little complicated at my school) and we've had a...rocky relationship, I guess.

We've gone from friends, to way more than friends, back to friends and now we're at this point where I just don't want to talk to him.

I guess part of it is he "drops the spaghetti" so to speak, for those of you who don't know the term it means he's socially inept a lot of the time to the point its annoying, plus he has an ego that dwarfs mine (which is saying something)

And yet despite pissing me off so so so SO much I can't really get the thought of me and him out of my head. (Which is very inconvenient when your trying to woo a girl for prom)

I just don't get it, I hate him, he annoys the shit out of me, but at the same time I can't help but want him.

Any experience or advice on this topic?

Being a teenager sucks

As a Homestuck fan I am quite familiar with this emotion.

If that didn't turn you away let me continue with a quote, just replace "troll" with human or something.
Kismesissitude
This is what a troll feels towards someone known as their kismesis. This is linked to hatred, and it is necessary that both parties feel hatred towards each other. Not any kind of hatred will do, since there is such a thing as platonic hatred amongst trolls (similar to the human concepts of hatred and platonic love).

In other words, kismesissitude seems to be based on a mix of hatred and sexual attraction.
Not much advice I can give, it's like advising someone on the subject of love, it's an emotion that's entails different experiences for each individual. Is there anything specific you want from that relationship? or are you just asking if this is normal? (In which case yes it is don't worry about it).

Find someone else. This is very common for introverted people or just people who don't meet that many new people. Your natural lust/sexual libido has nowhere else to go and ends up fixating on the only suitable candidate. Find more candidates and you'll forget about him in a couple of weeks.
