So recently I've been talking to quite a few girls, and one in particular seems to like me quite a lot, despite blowing off a couple of dates (it's safe to say she was knocked down a few places after this) and last night I went out on a date with a different girl and I told the first girl that I was just 'going out' which she presumed was with friends and drinking, and I didn't discourage her from thinking that.

And then through this little web of lies she text me and said "have fun, but don't pull anyone..you're mine"

Which I thought was quite sweet, and I realised that she actually likes me more than she lets on on a day to day basis.

So are there any times which you've lied, only for it to have a positive outcome?

Yes, a good example I can think of recently was when my 7 year old sister Rosie stole and hid several valuable things from one of my brothers, then completely denied it and would rage whenever anyone hinted it might be her, even though for a number of reasons I won't go into it was evidently her. After several days of my parents trying and failing to get her to budge, I managed to get her to lead to me to where they were hidden in just a few minutes. How?

Well, I started by playing a game with her where we were in "Pugland" where her favourite animals pugs live. I then told her that Pugland was being invaded by evil turtles, and the only way to stop them was to find the Jade Turtle, which was one of things stolen from my brother. When she still said she didn't know where the objects were, I told her that "Bob" had stolen them and she had to guess where they were. And not surprisingly, her first "guess" turned out to be exactly where the missing things were!

So yeah, in this case my lies or mis-truths helped solve a family situation, so they can sure be helpful =D

"Oh no, officer, it wasn't me who brutally murderised this innocent baby, it was that man over there."
And all was well.

Lying is a curious element in testing. After a while, test subjects stop believing you.

And then they murder you. Twice.

That's why I prefer robots.
