So I arrived to the "Battlefield: Bad Company" party.. Let's say, fashionably late. I love this game and can't see why anyone can diss it so horribly, it's fun and I like having fun. Anyways, I noticed that EA has little errands you can do to get better weapons, my weapon of choice from this errand list would be, you guessed it, the M60 Light Machine Gun. Yes, I am willing to sell myself out and become EA's ***** for a small advantage in a game which I'll probably forget about in a year.
All that aside, I've managed to create an EA account and all that jazz, when I couldn't find the newsletter option (you have to sign up for their weekly newsletter in order to get the weapon). So I spent a half an hour looking for that and finally found it, I got a little excited, I signed up and clicked the send button, for a split second while the screen was loading, I had one of those disturbingly pessimistic thoughts that you get whenever you're within inches of achieving your goal, I thought I wouldn't get it, perhaps it was one of those "premonitions" that I'd learned to tune out in times like this, one of those times that my brain is telling me that my "quest" would only end in failure and disappointment. The next split second, I reassured myself that nothing would happen and I'd get my machine gun, that I'd go on to PWN noobs for many hours using this glorious weapon, that I'd finally find a replacement for my XM8 LMG. I was wrong. The dialogue box that was supposed to tell me that a weapon code for a shiny new machine gun was en route to my E-mail was instead replaced with an error message. Disappointed but not discouraged, I tried again, and again, with the same results. You can imagine my disappointment.
Anyways, this is getting lengthy, so I'll cut to the chase, can anyone provide some insight as to why I can't get my machine or some advice on how to get this to work?
